The Bible says that the Lord is the One:
“Who satisfies your mouth [your necessity and desire at your personal age and situation] with good so that your youth, renewed, is like the eagle’s [strong, overcoming, soaring]!”
Psalm 103:5 AMPC
An old eagle uses his beak as the most important tool in the process of renewing his strength.
In the same manner you use your mouth to renew your spiritual strength, as you are growing in the Lord on this earth. It will make you a stronger Christian and an overcomer in all things, as you begin to soar with renewed strength like an eagle, you will see that nothing is impossible for you to achieve by just saying it.
Just as there is no limit for an eagle in the skies, there is no limit also for you in what you can do with your faith; by speaking good things to yourself.
Everything that an old eagle does to set the stage for the renewal of his strength, begins with the removal of the old beak. The removal of the beak’s coverings by beating it on a hard rock is a hurtful process for him, but an old eagle knows that it is a necessary thing to do, for the renewal of his strength in the sky.
You may even begin to wonder why is this great bird causing such pain to himself?
In the same manner people will often wonder why are certain Christians just being fanatical, about speaking faith filled words with the mouth?
The answer is straight forward and simple. The eagle does it so as to be able to live longer.
In the same manner certain Christians are like an eagle also. They are so much in love with Jesus, just as an eagle loves the sky.
These Christians rely on God for everything in their lives. God’s word is the source of everything that they possess.
When the Lord God called Prophet Jeremiah into the ministry, He told him:
“See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out and to pull down, to destroy and to throw down, to build and to plant.”
Jeremiah 1:10 NKJV
God’s order of doing things on the earth are with spoken words. He is always creating things by putting words into the mouth of His people, so that they can be declaring those things into manifestation.
Jeremiah had to use his mouth to speak words, in order for him to be able to do, what the Lord told him to do. He was anointed by the Lord God to be speaking words in rooting out and pulling down; so as to destroy and throw down kingdoms, just as he used spoken words to build up and to plant others.
The comparison of the use of the mouth with the renewal of our strength like that of an eagle, highlights the use of our mouth in changing our circumstances in life.
If an eagle can go through this painstaking process, so as to give himself a new life; you can do much more also if you will only allow the Lord, to give you the right words to be speaking for His goodness to come into your life and transform you.
The mouth has been given to every person on the earth by the Lord God, to be used in creating good things around our lives. The mouth is ours to be using in speaking the right words for the renewal of our strength – both spiritually and physically.
The Bible says:
“If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land;”
Isaiah 1:19 NKJV
In another word if you are willing and obedient to be speaking good things into your life, good things will start coming to you; so that you can be able to eat of the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
A Christian who is not saying “good things” to himself is denying himself of one the greatest benefits, that belongs to him as a Christian. If you want to see “goods things” or the goodness of the Lord in your life, watch what is coming out of your mouth.
Many people have often asked me about how to grow strong in faith. The answer to that question is in the scripture text above, exactly as David said it.
May the Lord satisfy your mouth with “good things” (words), to be speaking in transforming you into who you were really created to be in life.
To be strong in faith you need a renewed spiritual strength, which comes from the Lord as you begin to declare His promises over your life.
You are the prophet of your own life. There is no point to be praying that the Lord should increase your faith, when you can be prophesying good things to yourself.
You do have the faith already when you received the word of God with your heart. So, start speaking it so as to grow strong in faith (Romans 12:3).
You can use your faith to be prophesying healing and the good things of life to yourself. You are the architect of your own destiny in life. God is on your side, for as long as you are using your faith in the right direction for the abundance of the good things.
He has given us the measure of faith that we need, so as to get His goodness to come into our lives as His children.
The problem is that many are not using their faith tenaciously. They know the promises of God for their lives, but they are not applying them into their daily lives.
Instead of declaring the promises of God over their individual lives, they are proclaiming the circumstances that the enemy has planted them into over their lives.
This is the reason why they are reaping what they are saying in life.
It’s up to every believer in Christ Jesus to make the choice in releasing the words of God’s promises, to renew their spiritual strength.
Jesus said that if you have the faith as little as a mustard seed, you can do anything with it (Luke 17:6).
In other words, you can say anything with your mouth, and see it come to pass.
When a Christian is not speaking good things to himself, then the enemy will start exploiting the influences of the faithless people around him to attack his faith, as he begins to speak as they are speaking in the unsaved world.
Faith sees things as they are in the spiritual realm with God, and not what your circumstances are saying.
If you will choose to start speaking to yourself what God sees in you, you can turn things around for your own good in life.
Let the Lord fill your mouth with words.

Some people may say to you that you are not being realistic to yourself by doing this. Well, being realistic to yourself in their own view means that, you have to accept the lies of the devil around you as a part of the reality of life.
It means that you have to be saying that you are sick, when God’s word says that you are healed. It means that you have to be saying that you are poor, when God’s word says that you are blessed and rich.
It means that you have to accept the fact that everybody sees you as being negative, whereas God’s word says that you are wonderfully and beautifully made.
To them you have to accept the problems of your life, as the will of God. But all these are contrary to what the word of God says.
The moment you decide to renew your spiritual strength, for healing and the restoration of good health to your physical body; then you will need to be doing figuratively as the eagle does on top of the mountain, during the renewal of his strength with his beak.
The beak in this case will be your mouth in speaking good things to yourself.
The Lord God had already said:
“I am your only God, the living God. Wasn’t I the one who broke the strongholds over you and raised you up out of bondage? Open your mouth with a mighty decree; I will fulfill it now, you’ll see! The words that you speak, so shall it be!”
Psalms 81:10 TPT
The Passion translation makes it clear here that, God has to break the strongholds over the lives of His people. He also raised them out of bondage; so that they can be able to open their mouth, in making the decrees about His goodness into their lives.
And that’s how His goodness flows into our lives also. You will have to use your mouth to decree what God’s word says about your situation, instead of saying what the devil is projecting into your mind to be saying.
Another translation of the Bible has the same verse in this way:
“I am the Lord your God, who brought you up out of Egypt. Open wide your mouth and I will fill it.”
Psalms 81:10 NIV
You can’t speak without opening your mouth. To have good things come your way in life, you have to open your mouth wide, so that God can fill it up with faith filled words for you to be speaking.
This means that you can decree good things to yourself and watch as the angels will begin to direct those things across your pathway in life.
Someone may think that this is weird. But if the Bible says so then it’s the spiritual truth that works at all times. One of the best ways of doing this, is by spending enough time in God’s presence – praying in the spirit.
As you continue to pray in the spirit, the Holy Spirit has a way of taking hold with you in the spirit concerning what you are praying about (Romans 8:26).
He will fill your mouth with the words which you’re supposed to be speaking in a way that you can’t even explain.
This happens as you yield your mouth and your spirit to the Lord. He will fill your mouth with the good things of life to be speaking to yourself. You will start decreeing things in accordance with the purposes of God for your life and see them come to pass.
The Lord will fill your mouth with words. You don’t need your own physical strength and abilities to be able to do this.
The Holy Spirit will pull out of the abundance of God’s word in your life. He will pull out of the words that you had sowed into your own life to answer your prayer.
But if you’ve not been sowing God’s word into your life on a daily basis, by reading and meditating on it, then you don’t have a reservoir of God’s word, that the Holy Spirit can pull up from within you.
The strength of the Lord will take hold of your mouth supernaturally to start speaking “good things” to yourself, out of the abundance of the goodness of the Lord in your heart.
You are the prophet of your own destiny. Begin today to listen to the Lord so as to hear the words from Him, for His goodness to come into your life.
God is a good God, and He wants to be good to you first, before giving some of His goodness to others around you also.
But His goodness begins to flow through you first, before overflowing to be a blessing to others around you.
