His goodness comes as the overflow of your mouth

The Bible says that the Lord is the One:

“Who satisfies your mouth [your necessity and desire at your personal age and situation] with good so that your youth, renewed, is like the eagle’s [strong, overcoming, soaring]!”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭103:5‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

An old eagle uses its beak as the most important tool in the process of renewing its strength.

In the same manner you can use your mouth in renewing your spiritual strength. It will make you stronger and overcoming in all things, as you begin to soar with renewed strength like an eagle.

Just as there is no limit for an eagle in the skies, there is no limit also for you in what you can do with your faith; by speaking good things to yourself.

Everything that an old eagle does to set the stage for the renewal of its strength, begins with the beating of the beak on a hard rock. The removal of the old beak’s coverings is a hurtful and painful process.

And if you’ve ever seen an eagle do this, you will begin to wonder why this great bird is causing such pain to itself? In the same manner people will often wonder why are certain Christians just being fanatical, about speaking faith filled words?

The answer is straight forward and simple. The eagle does it so as to be able to live longer. An eagle that’s beating its beak on the hard rock loves life. It has chosen life over death. And in the same manner the Christians who are being caused pain through persecution, may seem to you as being outright fanatics. But the real truth is that they are so much in love with Jesus. They see everything in their lives as coming from Him, and not as a result of their own human efforts.

When the Lord God called the Prophet Jeremiah into the ministry, He told him:

“See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, To root out and to pull down, To destroy and to throw down, To build and to plant.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭1:10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

God’s order of doing things on the earth are with spoken words. He is always creating things by putting words into the mouth of His own people, so that they can be declaring good things into manifestation.

Jeremiah had to use his mouth in order for him to be able to do, what the Lord had told him to do. He was anointed by the Lord God to be speaking words in rooting out and pulling down; so as to destroy and throw down kingdoms.

The comparison of the use of the mouth in the process of the renewal of our strength like the eagle’s, highlights the significance of the words of our mouth in changing our own lives.

If an eagle can go through this painstaking process, so as to give itself a new life; you can do a lot of things by allowing the Lord, to give you the words to be speaking for His goodness to come into your life.

The mouth has been given to every person on the earth by the Lord God, to be used in creating good things around ourselves. We were created by God to be using our mouth in speaking words for the renewal of our strength – both spiritually and physically.

The Bible says again that:

“If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭1:19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

In another word if you are willing and obedient in speaking good things into your own life, good things will start coming to you; so that you can be able to eat of the goodness of the Lord in the land.

A Christian who is not saying “good things” to himself is denying himself of one the greatest benefits, that belongs to us as Christians. If you want to see “goods things” or the goodness of the Lord in your life, watch what is coming out of your mouth.

Many people have always asked me about how to grow stronger in faith. The answer to that question is in the verse above, exactly as David said it. To be strong in faith you will need a renewed spiritual strength, which comes from the Lord; as you are declaring His Covenant promises over your life.

You are the prophet of your own life. Jesus never told us to be praying that our faith should grow stronger. He however prayed that we may not fail in the appropriate use of our faith (Luke 22:32).

Our faith increases by using it with what we are saying. A dead faith is the faith that keeps quiet. When you are speaking good things to yourself, you are prophesying life to yourself. You do have the faith of God already, when you received His word into your heart (Romans 10:10).

You can use your faith by speaking healing and the good things of life to yourself. In the same way a lot of people are poor today, because that’s what they are saying to themselves. Your faith can’t grow beyond what your mouth is saying. You are the architect of your own destiny in life. God is on your side, as long as you are using your faith in the right direction for the abundance of good things.

He has given us all the measure of faith that we do need, in getting His goodness to come into our lives (Romans 12:3).

The problem is that many are not using their faith tenaciously. They know the promises of God for their lives, but they are not applying them into their daily lives. It’s up to every believer in Christ to make the right choices in life, by releasing their faith in declaring God’s promises to renew their strength.

Jesus said that if you have the faith as little as a mustard seed, you can do anything with it (Luke 17:6).

In other words you can say anything with your mouth, and see it come to pass, no matter how little you think that your faith is. Just open your mouth and say good things to yourself; instead of saying the bad things that the devil has brought into your life, through the bad words from your mouth.

When a Christian is not speaking good things to himself, then the enemy will start exploiting the influences of the faithless people around him to attack his faith, as he begins to speak as they are speaking in the unsaved world.

Faith sees things as they are in the spiritual realm with God, and not what your circumstances are saying. If you will choose to start speaking to yourself what God sees in you, you can turn things around for your own good.

Open your mouth wide, and God will fill it

He will do what you are saying

Some people may say to you that you are not being realistic to yourself by doing this. Well, being realistic to yourself in their own view means that, you have to accept the lies of the devil around you as a part of the reality of life.

It means that you have to be saying that you are sick, when God’s word says that you are healed. It means that you have to be saying that you are poor, when God’s word says that you are blessed and rich. It means that you have to accept the fact that everybody sees you in an ugly way, whereas God’s word says that you are wonderfully and beautifully made.

To them you have to accept the problems of your life, as the will of God. But all these are contrary to the word of God.

The moment you decide to renew your spiritual strength, for the healing and restoration of good health to your physical body; then you will need to be doing figuratively also, as the eagle with its beak does. The beak in this case represents your mouth in speaking good things to yourself.

The Lord God had already said:

“I am your only God, the living God. Wasn’t I the one who broke the strongholds over you and raised you up out of bondage? Open your mouth with a mighty decree; I will fulfill it now, you’ll see! The words that you speak, so shall it be!”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭81:10‬ ‭TPT

The Passion translation makes it clear here that, God has to break the strongholds over the lives of His people. He also raised them out of bondage; so that they can be able to open their mouth, in making the decrees about His goodness into their lives.

And that’s how His goodness flows into our lives. You will have to use your mouth to decree what God’s word says about your situation, instead of saying what the devil is projecting into your mind to be saying.

Another translation of the Bible has the same verse in this way:

I am the Lord your God, who brought you up out of Egypt. Open wide your mouth and I will fill it.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭81:10‬ ‭NIV‬‬

You can’t speak without opening your mouth. To have good things come your way in life, you have to open your mouth wide, so that God can fill it up with faith filled words for you.

This means that you can decree good things to yourself, and watch as the angels will begin to direct them across your pathway.

You may think that this is weird. But if the Bible says so, then it’s the truth that always works. One of the best way of doing this, is by spending enough time in God’s presence by praying in the spirit.

As you continue to pray in the spirit, the Holy Spirit has a way of taking hold with you in the spirit (Romans 8:26). He will fill your mouth with words to be speaking in a way that you can’t even explain.

This happens as you yield your mouth and your spirit to the Lord. He will fill your mouth with the good things of life to be speaking to yourself. You will start decreeing things in accordance with the purposes of God for your life.

The presence of the Lord will fill your mouth with words. You don’t need your own strength and abilities to be able to do this. It’s the strength of the Lord, that will take hold of your mouth supernaturally in doing this.

You are the prophet of your own destiny. Begin today to listen in hearing the words from Him, as you are praying in other tongues, for His goodness to come into your life.

God is a good God, and He wants to be good to you first, before giving the leftovers of His goodness to others in the world.
