Pass the inheritance of the Lord to your descendants

The scripture says in the words of God’s wisdom from King Solomon that:

“A good man leaves an inheritance [of moral stability and goodness] to his children’s children, and the wealth of the sinner [finds its way eventually] into the hands of the righteous, for whom it was laid up.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭13‬:‭22‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

God is good at all times, and He wants all His children to have access into the inheritance which belongs to them. But the inheritance itself is being stored up for them in the hands of the heathen. The secret into the wealth of the sinner is hidden in the darkness of the earth.

And it is only the righteous man who is exercising his faith, by going after such wealth in the territory of the sinner, that is actually getting access into it. If you are not ready to get your hands smeared and dirty, then the wealth of the sinner is not for you.

That’s why as Jesus said in the Parable of the unjust steward, while commending the wisdom of that steward:

“So the master commended the unjust steward because he had dealt shrewdly. For the sons of this world are more shrewd in their generation than the sons of light. “And I say to you, make friends for yourselves by unrighteous mammon, that when you fail, they may receive you into an everlasting home.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭16‬:‭8‬-‭9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Yes, the sons of this world are more shrewd than the sons of light, because the sons of light are getting too cautious in their righteousness. Their self righteousness has failed them, as in the situation with this steward. Instead of allowing the righteousness of Christ to shine through them, their failure in their own righteousness has brought great darkness upon them.

This is why a lot of Christians are living in poverty today, while they using a dead form of religion to cover up for their self righteousness.

The steward in this parable had to get shrewd, so as to save himself from being totally destroyed. He knew that his master would hold him accountable. He had to get himself dirty by humbly making a deal with the debtors of his master, so that he could be able to save himself from being totally destroyed at the end of it all. The master actually commended him for doing so.

A righteous man who is not prepared to stoop down and humble himself before God when the enemy attacks, will find himself disqualified for the blessing that awaits him, at the end of such an attack of the enemy.

The devil is a master strategist with the type of attacks that he launches out on the righteous. He knows the scriptures very well just like the righteous man. But he will manipulate scriptures to try to deceive the righteous into sinning against God.

That’s why humility of the heart before God is very important before a Christian resists the devil. It’s a spiritual force that the evil one cannot stop. He will only be forced to flee, when he sees the righteous man humbling himself at the word of God while resisting him. Your submission to the final authority of God’s word terrifies the devil. He will flee away from you in terror of who you are in Christ Jesus.

The Bible says:

“And he (God) gives grace generously. As the Scriptures say, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
‭‭James‬ ‭4‬:‭6‬-‭7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Pride will always go before the fall of any man (Proverbs 16:18). Wherever there is any appearance of spiritual pride, there is the spirit of rebellion always behind it. A Christian who is exhibiting spiritual pride is prone to the attack of the devil. It’s an open door for the enemy into the life of such a Christian.

No matter how righteous he may be, that open door to the devil will hinder the wealth of the sinner from getting into his hands. He will see the wealth of the sinner as being sinful, instead of accepting it as the inheritance that God had allowed the sinner to hold up for him.

The wealth of the sinner actually belongs to the righteous, even though the sinner is just holding on to it until the rightful owner comes for it.

If therefore the sons of light want to get what the Lord had laid up for them in the hands of the sons of this world, they will have to learn how to make friends with them.

It’s of course going to be ugly. But if you are indeed listening for the voice of the Lord in showing you what to do, you will get that wealth out of their hands.

The problem with many sons of light is that they are more concerned, about their association with the sinner as being sinful. However this will not be a problem, if they are indeed paying attention to the voice of the Lord in leading them, as they are making friends with the sons of this world.

God’s plan in your friendship with the sons of the world, will always lead you into getting them saved. They will have to surrender to the Lordship of Jesus in their lives.

Christians don’t need to get so carried away, and get caught up in their friendship with the sons of the world, to the extent that they forget who they really are in Christ Jesus. The only way out of being entrapped in a messy relationship with them, is to be listening for the voice of the Spirit for guidance in that relationship with them.

Many do often get carried away with the lust of their uncrucified flesh in such relationships, to the extent that the sons of the world are using the lust in them, to rub in on their righteousness with the darkness in them. And that’s why Christians do often fail!

God’s Spirit may be nudging them while leading them into their wealthy positions. But they are however being carried away from the reality of who they are in Christ Jesus, by the desires of their flesh in possessing the wealth of the sinner.

As the Apostle James said:

“You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.”
‭‭James‬ ‭4‬:‭2‬-‭3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The pleasures of the world is more important to them, than the purpose for which God has led them to the sinner. That’s why many have often ended up living like the sinner, with a compromised righteousness that’s getting them no where with the darkness around them.

We do know that the sinner who has unrighteously acquired the wealth for himself, is storing them in that secret place away from the sight of the righteous. He doesn’t even have any plan for what he is storing up. He is thinking that he is hiding it secretly to use later on for himself.

But the Lord’s plan is for that wealth to eventually get into the hands of His children, who will use it to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ and His prosperity to the end of the earth. The Lord God who sees and knows all things has a plan, about what will become of such wealth in the hands of the sinner.

God’s plan is to lead His children to where such wealth has been stored for them. And He will purposely led them to make friends with the sinner, so that they can be able to possess what is theirs.

And in these last days before the return of the Lord, there is beginning to be a shift of the wealth of the sinner into the hands of those, who are truly spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ to the end of the earth.

However there are very few Christians who are accessing this wealth. A lot of God’s children are still struggling to get into God’s plan for their prosperity. Majority are more inclined and obsessed with what the sinner wants to do with the wealth, instead of listening and obeying God.

They do not know the plan of God for their own prosperity. God’s children are fantasizing about what is being stored up for them by the sinner.

The wealth of the sinners of this world has to find its way into the hands of the righteous by all means.

All of the secret wealth and riches of the devil are in the dark. They are not hidden from God; but they are right before Him. He is the all knowing God. He alone knows what best to do in getting it into the hands of the rightful owners – His children.

Get positioned for the hidden wealth

Stay on track! Don’t get distracted.

In the words of King Solomon from the above text (Proverbs 13:22), it’s the Christian values which a righteous man leaves for his children and grandchildren to follow in life, that will eventually determine how the wealth of the sinner will get into their hands.

In other words the descendants of the righteous man must commit, to living in accordance with these godly values, for God to be able to favor them and guide them to where the wealth of the sinner is. God knows how to position His children better than they can imagine.

Abraham as a righteous man understood how this worked. He had taught his son (Isaac) about the values of life in his relationship with God. He had lived in accordance with these values of faith in God’s promises, which ended up making him rich.

The Lord God had said about Abraham:

“For I have known him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him, that they keep the way of the Lord, to do righteousness and justice, that the Lord may bring to Abraham what He has spoken to him.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭18‬:‭19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The most important thing that Abraham had to teach Isaac as pointed out here, was for him to know how to keep following the way of the Lord, so as to do right and be just before Him. If his descendants today are doing this, then the Lord will be able to bring His promises to come to pass for them.

In other words everything has to do with living a lifestyle of faith before God. A lifestyle of faith is what pleases God (Hebrews 11:6).

The Prophet Micah summed it all up in this way:

“He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?”
‭‭Micah‬ ‭6‬:‭8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Following the way of the Lord requires humility. When a righteous man is teaching his children how to live by the standard of God in His Word, instead of the standard of the world within which his children are growing up; that righteous man is laying before his children the immeasurable treasures of God.

He is teaching them how not only to know God’s way of doing things; but how through their knowledge about the way of God with a heart of humility, they can be led into their individual places of prosperity.

It’s the ability of the children of the righteous to tap into the hidden treasures of God, that will eventually determine how those children will prosper, with the wealth of the wicked that they are seeing before them.

That’s why it’s important not to be only talking about God to children. But a righteous man goes in-depth into the scriptures with his children. He studies the scriptures with them and prays together with them, instead of just praying for them.

The righteous man does this so as to teach his descendants about the fear of the Lord, which had brought godly prosperity into his hands. If it worked for Abraham in passing a godly and prosperous legacy to his descendants, it will work for anyone today also.

A lot of Christian parents are not really spending quality time in practically teaching their children, how to live by God’s standard in a world that is so full of darkness all around them.

Abraham taught his son (Isaac) how to practically follow the way of the Lord. It is therefore the responsibility of these descendants to follow the godly examples that they have been taught.

The faith of each descendant of the righteous man will be tested in the fire. They will have to confront it all by themselves. And it’s those values that they have been taught, which will keep them in the fiery dark moments of their lives. They are what will determine their prosperity and inheritance in life.

As King Solomon said in the above scripture text, the wealth of the sinner is laid up for them. But the wealth that is laid up for them, is hidden from them by the sinner.

So they will need God’s wisdom in order to get their hands on it. And afterwards they can be able to do exploits with it.

The Lord God has hidden treasures in the dark places of the earth that are stored up for His children by the devil. He had promised them that:

“I will give you the treasures of darkness And hidden riches of secret places, That you may know that I, the Lord, Who call you by your name, Am the God of Israel.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭45‬:‭3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The Lord God will allow you to go through the dark places of this earth, because He wants to give you the treasures that are in the hands of the heathen. He wants to give you their hidden riches.

He will allow such dark moments to come upon you, because He wants to teach you how to do spiritual warfare in the spirit and by the Spirit against the enemy. He will lead you and guide you to where he has stored up, those hidden riches and treasures for you.

He will guide you into how to snatch them away from the hands of the enemy, in the same manner as Jesus went to hell, and took away from the devil its key. Jesus set the captives of hell free.

And you can go into the underground places of this earth, and snatch away from them also everything that they are storing up in it. You go in the name of Jesus and by the power of His blood. You use the sword of the Spirit that the Lord is giving you to unlock those riches and treasures.

This was how God made Abraham rich. He led him during a season of famine into the hidden riches of the secret places in Egypt.

We can see from the scriptures that when Abraham went into Egypt because of the famine in Canaan, it was the Lord who was leading him to where the treasures of darkness had been stored up for him.

Abraham obeyed God by going into Egypt to live. The Lord God caused the Egyptians to favor him because of Sarah (his wife). And as a result of that favor Abraham became very rich.

The scripture described how he left Egypt as he returned back to Canaan:

“Then Abram went up from Egypt, he and his wife and all that he had, and Lot with him, to the South. Abram was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭13‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The Egyptians gave him the seed for his prosperity in the land of Canaan during a time of famine. He was rich in silver and gold. He was rich in the livestock that were later going to make him prosperous, in the land that God had promised to give to his descendants.

Later on in his life Isaac wanted to do the same thing during another time of famine. But the Lord told him not to go to Egypt. God had a different plan for Abraham’s immediate descendant.

Isaac was instructed by God to remain in the land of famine. But he was told to sow seeds during this time of famine. It was a weird thing to do, but Isaac obeyed God. Only God can cause anything that you sow to grow, even in the time of your financial hardship.

The outcome was that:

“Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him. The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous; for he had possessions of flocks and possessions of herds and a great number of servants. So the Philistines envied him.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭26‬:‭12‬-‭14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Unusual prosperity during a season of famine. Isaac was living with surplus prosperity while his neighbors were struggling to survive.

The ungodly inhabitants of the land could see the hand of God upon him. They became fearful of Isaac and were forced to make peace with him, even though Isaac had been prospering while they were persecuting him.

They came to him and told him:

“ .. We have certainly seen that the Lord is with you. So we said, ‘Let there now be an oath between us, between you and us; and let us make a covenant with you,”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭26‬:‭28‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

For us today the Holy Spirit is the Administrator of the gifts that are meant, to lead us into the hidden riches and treasures of this world. When we are yielding our hearts to the gifts of the Spirit in our lives, we will see the Lord doing amazing things for us.

Isaac became prosperous in a time of famine to the extent that his neighbors started envying him and became fearful of him. That’s what God does for those who are living righteous before Him today also.

God’s Spirit will guide you into your inheritance

When you’re lost, God’s Spirit will guide you

There are immeasurable treasures in the darkness of the earth. These treasures are not necessarily tangible like silver and gold; but they are the types of riches which are very dear to the heart of God. They are much more costlier than all the precious stones of this world.

They come to us when we are obedient to walk in the operation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit as New and Old Testaments believers. Such treasures comes our way in the wisdom of God, which is foolishness to the people of the world.

When wisdom comes to you from God, it is not going to make sense at all for you to do as it says. But if you will obey that leading of your heart, you will see the Lord breaking forth before you on the other side of your faith walk, into the abundance of prosperity that had been waiting for you.

You can’t get rich by measuring wealth with money or other things of this world. To be rich with God is to be rich in the wisdom of His Word. There is no way you can ever quantify the wisdom of God.

You will need to be praying in the spirit, so as to be able to tap into such wisdom, and gain access to those treasures of darkness.

You will have to go into the camp of the sinner as you are being led by the Lord through prayer. The Lord will guide you into it. He will show you everything that the sinner is doing in secret.

The things which the sinner thinks that he has are hidden from you. But those things will be revealed to you by the Holy Spirit. As the Administrator of the gifts of the Spirit, He will give you what you need to take your inheritance away from the sinner’s hand.

These treasures of darkness are the hidden mysteries of the wisdom in His word and from His presence, as we are fellowshipping with Him. These are the true riches of the earth, which nothing in this world can ever be able to take away from you.

If you are able to tap into such wisdom with your faith, you will become extremely successful in life.

It’s your ability to be able to apply such wisdom as the Lord leads you by the Spirit, that determines the amount of success which you will have with it. Wisdom is the intangible wealth of God that the devil can’t take away from you.

The acquisition of wisdom into the riches of the darkness of this world, makes the devil so fearful of you as a Christian. You have striped him of the most precious things to him. He is therefore clueless about how he has been beaten to his own game, of concealing such treasures from you.

He consequently knows better never to mess around with you anymore. He will do everything possible to prevent his territory from being breached again by you.

The acquisition of such wisdom into these hidden treasures will make you really prosperous and free indeed in Christ Jesus.

The richest man in tangible assets on this earth is really poor, if he doesn’t have the wisdom of God to prosper with his riches.

Just because a man is financially rich doesn’t mean that he is prosperous. He needs wisdom to be able to prosper with his riches. And the only place where such wisdom can be found, is in the presence of God and in His word.

Stay anointed to get rich in God

The anointing will keep you prosperous

Being rich in the presence of God is not as the world sees richness. You are not really rich, if you are not rich in God’s word and the wisdom that flows from His Spirit.

Jesus told the lukewarm Church of the Laodiceans; which today can be compared with any compromised Church, that’s proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ:

“Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭3‬:‭17‬-‭18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

These are the words of Jesus today about God’s people who think that they are rich. We can see that Abraham was not like this group of Christians. Abraham walked humbly before the Lord with his wealth. He showed mercy to all those who came across his pathway. He lived righteously with what the Lord God had blessed him with.

The compromised Church may be weighing its prosperity in accordance with the standard of this world; but unknown to her that’s actually poverty before the Lord. Jesus in this scripture text reveals what true riches means before the Father.

Spiritual poverty is tantamount to physical poverty. That’s why certain Christians are physically sick, because they are spiritually poor. They lack the knowledge about God’s provision for their healing and deliverance.

Spiritual poverty is a curse that can only be broken by the Covenant in the blood of Jesus Christ, for the blessing of the redeemed to become manifested.

Living a Covenant minded lifestyle with God is a sign that the curse of spiritual poverty has been broken in the life of a believer in Christ Jesus.

Ultimately it is not everyone who calls himself a Christian, who is actually Covenant minded. But for the anointing that breaks the curse to manifest the blessing, a Christian must be Covenant minded in their relationship with God and men.

Jesus pointed out to the Laodiceans in the Revelation to John that, they were to anoint their eyes with healing salve, so as to be able to see their true riches.

A lot of Christians today need to be anointed with eye salve, so that they can see the hidden treasures of the darkness of this world, which has been preserved for them.

And the best way that God can bring such riches across the pathway of the believer in Christ, is through spiritual warfare in enforcing the victory of Jesus over the forces of darkness. As we enforce this victory over them, we will become empowered by the Spirit to take our treasures and riches away from them.

There are certain things that the Lord will allow into your life as a Christian, which will bring you trials and troubles. They are not meant to destroy you. But the Lord will use such things to bring you to the hidden treasures of the darkness of this world, because He wants to bless you with them.

Our God will never allow anything that He knows His children cannot bear to come upon them. But if He wants to bless them with the riches and the treasures of the darkness, He has to take them through the darkness itself.

Our God will teach His children how to do spiritual warfare in the spirit, so as to wrestle those treasures from the hands of the devil. It’s in this spiritual realm that the believer in Christ will begin to receive instructions from the Lord by the Spirit, which will lead him into these hidden riches and treasures.

Therefore, no matter how dark your trial and troubles may be right now, know that God is there with you in it.

The Prophet Job went through his trial of faith for almost a year. But he learnt a lot of things that he never knew before while going through it. At the end of it the true prosperity of the Lord came to him.

The scriptures says at the end of his trial:

“Now the Lord blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning; for he had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, one thousand yoke of oxen, and one thousand female donkeys. He also had seven sons and three daughters.”
‭‭Job‬ ‭42‬:‭12‬-‭13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The later part of his life was far better than the beginning, as the light of God began to shine across his pathway.

And:

“After this Job lived one hundred and forty years, and saw his children and grandchildren for four generations. So Job died, old and full of days.”
‭‭Job‬ ‭42‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

This means that he was able to pass the wisdom of God into the true riches of the earth, to the fourth generations after him. That’s a life that was well lived before God. Job died in good old age and full of days.

This means that he died being fully sated and contented with all the happiness, that life could give him on the earth. That’s what God wants all His children to have. He wants us to be satisfied with the life that, He has given us to live on the earth.

That’s why we are always to be rejoicing when troubles comes along, to plunge us into the depths of spiritual darkness of this world. We are to be rejoicing in the midst of it, instead of being concerned about how to get out of it.

The Lord God who allowed it, is the only One who can get you out of it, just as He did for Job. But there is a blessing that’s waiting at the end of it. A blessing which is beyond your comprehension – the riches and treasures of the darkness of this world.

God wants to see you rejoicing instead of being concerned about what you’re going through. He has the key to get you out of it, with all the riches and treasures of the darkness of this world following you.

It is when such dark moments comes into the life of a child of God, that he is able to see the hidden riches and treasures that are yet to be discovered.

No wonder the scripture says:

“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”
‭‭James‬ ‭1‬:‭2‬-‭4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

As the Apostle James says here, you will end up lacking nothing in this world, if you’re rejoicing in the midst of the spiritual warfare, that’s leading you into your true riches and wealth. God is there with you, and He is leading and guiding you out of it.

Being able to acquire the hidden wisdom of God will position you in the place, where you will need nothing at all to do what you had been anointed to do by your God. So stay anointed, so that you may prosper with your anointing. Guide and protect that anointing with the help of the Holy Ghost, Who lives in you.
