What we are eating daily has a huge role to play, in the process of healing and restoring our bodies back to good health. The attention that you are paying to your daily diet, reveals the amount of value that you are placing on your healing and life.
Some people will eat only when they are hungry. And most especially they will eat anything that they can find or see. Being hungry is not a good excuse for eating unhealthy foods. Your health is of great value before the Lord (3 John 1:2).
When people gets accustomed to unhealthy eating habits, it’s difficult for them to break away from it.
I remember when the Lord directed me to do certain things about the food that I was eating, the devil fought me back very hard to make sure that I never did it. He designed all kinds of things to distract my attention, away from what the Lord had told me to do.
But the moment I was able to discern his tactics, it became so easy to do exactly what the Lord directed me to be doing.
Jesus said in the Parable of the sower that:
“The sower sows the word. And these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts.”
Mark 4:14-15 NKJV
When God’s word comes to you about anything, the enemy will do everything to steal that word away from you. He will do everything possible to make sure that you are taking God’s word lightly. He does not want you to be a doer of what the Lord says to you.
Many people often starts doing what the Lord had told them to do; but the distractions of the enemy through the other things of this world, has taken their focus off the instructions of the Lord to them. They have missed the set mark of the Lord for their healing and restoration of health. They have become sick in the body, because they are being dull of hearing, so as to obey the Lord.
King Solomon advised us:
“My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh.”
Proverbs 4:20-22 NKJV
God’s word gives us the wisdom that will heal us, and restore us back to good health. The inclination of your heart should be to the word of the Lord personally for you. It should be at the center of your eyes and your heart. If you are not able to take God’s word personally by applying to yourself, then there is no way you will ever be able to incline your ears to what He is saying.
The enemy will do everything to prevent you from inclining your ears to the word of the Lord. That’s what he knows best to do in order to prevent you from being healed and healthy. You have to be guiding your heart diligently, so as to obey the Lord.
King Solomon said again:
“Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.”
Proverbs 4:23 NKJV
God will answer to the issues of your life, your healing and good health by speaking directly to your heart. Keep your eyes on His word to you always. You however will have to be resolute in obeying the Lord, concerning anything that He says to you. Healing and good health will be yours, as you become a doer of His word.
You will be surprised to find out that everything else in life for your prosperity, are connected with your act of obedience to His first instruction for you.
The devil is very tricky and deceptive. From the moment that you receive the word of the Lord, he is already doing everything possible to prevent you from doing it. Therefore be on your guide against his tactics.
Don’t miss your timeline
The food that we are eating has a way of affecting the healing process of the body. If you are not eating healthy and correctly, it’s going to be difficult for the process of your healing to be completed, as you are obeying the Lord.
There is a timeline for the completion of your healing process. The devil wants you to miss that timeline.
But the Lord will add to your days and prolong your life, as soon as you are able to recognize what the enemy is doing. You must be prepared to beat the devil to his tactics. People are dying daily because they are taking lightly, what the Lord had directed them to do about eating healthy.
As they are taking the word of the Lord lightly, the timeline for their healing and the restoration of their health keeps trickling down. The enemy will make them to forget about the word of the Lord, concerning their healing and health; until things begins to get bad and degenerate into a situation, that is too late for their faith to get them out.
And it’s sad to see people who could had been inclining their ears to the word of the Lord, apparently dying of the very things that the Lord had warned them about. Before people often die, the Lord will always give them the opportunity to change their ways. He will give them warning signs, so that they can change their course; and get healed instead of dying.
Some had ignored those warning signs of the Lord and died. Others are belittling the warnings of the Lord to them and had died suddenly, due to their own attitude and recklessness.
You see, nobody knows your physical body better than the Lord God who created it. God Almighty alone holds the key to those things which affects your healing and health.
Moses said:
“The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.”
Deuteronomy 29:29 NKJV
There are several things on the earth today that scientists are just catching up with. But those very things had always been with the Lord God of Heaven and the earth. They are in His written word.
They were not hidden from us deliberately. They were hidden so that we as His creations, may be able to use our faith to discover them. Faith is the key that unlocks those secret things of God. Even the scientists needs faith in their experiments to be successful. Otherwise their scientific researches will be fruitless.
As a Christian you just have to be ready and prepared to obey the Lord, even when it does not make sense to you. To be able to walk with the Lord in the supernatural world of healing, you must be prepared to obey Him and trust in Him always.
Your spiritual ears must be inclined to His word, and your heart must be prepared to receive whatever He says, even if it does not make sense to you. That’s how you can begin to delve into the world of the supernatural by faith.
The Lord can use anything to heal you
When we are following the directions of the Lord to do what is both naturally and spiritually right, there is nothing stopping us from living a healthy long life on the earth. God’s supernatural power is made available for our healing, when the Spirit of God in us comes into contact with our natural circumstances.
We saw this in the life of King Hezekiah when he fell sick to the point of death. The word of the Lord had come to him through the Prophet Isaiah, to put his house in order because he was going to die.
Hezekiah however prayed to the Lord concerning what the Prophet had told him. And before Isaiah left the palace the Lord directed him to go back, and tell the king that his life had been prolonged for another fifteen years.
The Lord moved to answer the prayer of this righteous King, even though prior to this moment; the word of prophecy had gone out about his death. Hezekiah moved God’s hand through prayer, and stopped the hand of death from touching his life.
God’s word through the Prophet Isaiah was the supernatural move of the Lord to save the life of Hezekiah. God cannot do anything on the earth, without the help of those who had been called and anointed by Him.
The King’s prayer in right standing before the Lord helped him to avoid death. However there was no point for him to had lived for fifteen more years with the symptom of the same sickness, without being healed. That would had meant living a long life in pain and sickness, when he could had fully recovered. God does not want anyone to live long life in sickness and disease.
Whenever God does anything it is always perfect and complete. The healing process now has to take a natural course for Hezekiah. And only God had the solution through his Prophet.
The Bible says:
“Then Isaiah said, “Take a lump of figs.” So they took and laid it on the boil, and he recovered.”
II Kings 20:7 NKJV
It’s amazing how a lump of figs could heal the boil on the sick body of King Hezekiah. God’s word could had been spoken to make the boil disappear. But that was not the course which the Lord had designed for Hezekiah’s recovery.
The King was fully recovered after the lump of figs had been placed on the boil. He later lived for fifteen more years in a healthy body.
The lump of figs had always been there, but nobody had the knowledge and wisdom to identify this, until the Prophet came with the word of wisdom. If Hezekiah had not obeyed the Prophet, nothing would had happened for his healing and the restoration of his health.
We can see the divine move of God with the use of a local herb here, as directed by the Lord which did healed the sick. God’s word brings us healing, but the restoration of the body to good health requires sometimes certain natural remedies.
For us today the ability to eat and drink healthy works to quicken the restoration of our health. And if your faith is not strong enough to walk in the reality of God’s word to you personally, the Lord can and will still use other means to make sure that your healing is completed.
That’s why there are medical doctors who can prescribe medications or other natural things, like healthy foods and vitamins to complete your recovery. But it’s our responsibility to do those things as directed by them meticulously.
If you are able to follow the instructions of your doctors, you can obviously incline your ears to the word of the Lord. You have no excuse for not obeying the Lord. He is the One who gives wisdom and understanding to the medical doctors.
Do you think Hezekiah would had recovered, if he had not applied the lump of figs on the boil? It would had been an act of disobedience, if he didn’t do as the Prophet had directed him to do.
Even though he had received the word of the Lord for long life, he could still had lived with the boil for fifteen long years before eventually dying. But our God does not ever start something without finishing it.
God’s work is always perfect and complete. Divine healing is perfect and complete. For full recovery to take place from certain sicknesses and diseases, it is important to be eating healthy foods.
We can see again from the scriptures how Jesus healed a man who was born blind. Jesus had just told the disciples that the man was born blind, for the Lord to eventually be glorified in his life through the recovery of his sight.
The Bible says:
“When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay. And He said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing.”
John 9:6-7 NKJV
The clay that was mixed with His saliva were the natural elements, which were in place for the man to be made whole. Jesus used clay to initiate the healing process for the man. He made some clay and anointed the eyes of the man with it.
The mixture of the clay by Jesus can be juxtaposed with what pharmacists often do today. But that was not the end of the healing process for this man. Clay was applied, but the blind man had to follow the instruction of Jesus carefully, for full recovery to take place.
If the man had decided not to wash at the designated place for his healing by Jesus, his sight would not had been restored, even though he was anointed by Jesus with clay. Neither would his sight had been restored, if he had gone to another pool apart from Siloam to be washed.
The obedience of the man had to be completed for the healing process to be finalized. As the man obeyed Jesus by doing the natural thing, he was completely healed.
Many people wants to be healed, but if the Lord tells them to do the things that were needed for their healing process to be completed, they will start to drag their feet. They will put God’s hand in a straight jacket for their healing.
This is absolutely wrong. We have no business dictating to the Lord how we want to be healed. It is His prerogative to decide the pathway for our healing and the restoration of our health. What works for the faith of one person may not work for another. You must incline your ears to hear the Lord clearly.
The food that you are eating is a very important part of this process. What is a good diet for you may not be good for another person. Find out what works best for you and do it.
You can’t be eating processed foods and expects to be healed and healthy. In most cases they do have the tendency of increasing your cholesterol level.
The very word itself – “processed” does suggests that such food items had been mechanically or chemically engineered. It is not natural food anymore, but polluted with chemicals for preservation purposes. Such types of foods are not healthy for the restoration of your body to good health.
The healing of your body and your good health is the perfect will of God. You must know what the Lord requires of you to do, so as to be healthy and healed spirit, soul and body.
God’s word can bring you healing instantly, and He can also choose a different path of healing for you which is not common. But He will always bring His word to heal you and restore your health. You have to believe His word by receiving it with your heart.
His word is important for you in identifying the pathway for your healing. That’s why the Bible says:
“He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.”
Psalms 107:20 NKJV
Believe in His word and start acting on what it says to you. Your healing and good health is just around the corner. Be made whole in your spirit, soul and body in Jesus name. Amen!
