As we grow stronger and stronger in faith, our spiritual life will begin to give glory to God. But the devil hates it every time that our spiritual endeavors are giving God the glory. He wants that glory to his own credit. But he can’t have it, if we don’t give in to his tricks. He may have tried to stop you as a believer in Christ, but instead of you being stopped, you are rather getting stronger and growing in your faith towards God. You are turning his weapons which he is using against you, back on him for your own spiritual development and growth.
But in the midst of your spiritual victories, the troubles may not even be going away so quickly. On the contrary you can see that you are the one being changed. God’s presence is changing you in the midst of the problems right now.
God has to change you first, to prepare your heart in receiving the blessing, which He is about to pour into your life. He is doing this because, if you are not transformed first before you receive the blessing, the weight of the blessing will be too much for you to handle. So the troubles of your life are not meant to destroy you. They are meant to prepare you in carrying the blessing of God, that is about to be poured into your life.
You don’t see it yet, because it is something that He is working on the inside of you. It is His presence within you that has given you strength up till today. God is the One upholding you and preventing you from being a failure in life.
The writer of the book of Hebrews said this about Jesus:
“The Son is the radiance and only expression of the glory of [our awesome] God [reflecting God’s Shekinah glory, the Light-being, the brilliant light of the divine], and the exact representation and perfect imprint of His [Father’s] essence, and upholding and maintaining and propelling all things [the entire physical and spiritual universe] by His powerful word [carrying the universe along to its predetermined goal]. When He [Himself and no other] had [by offering Himself on the cross as a sacrifice for sin] accomplished purification from sins and established our freedom from guilt, He sat down [revealing His completed work] at the right hand of the Majesty on high [revealing His Divine authority],”
HEBREWS 1:3 AMP
It is the Spirit of Jesus Christ inside you, that is “upholding and maintaining and propelling all things”, which you are going through in these difficult times, “to its predetermined goal” and purpose for your life. There are many things that you may not even ever understand in the process. But we don’t always ever have to understand why God does certain things in our lives.. We are called into obedience to His voice. Certain things may not make sense initially; but as you begin to understand how He is upholding, sustaining, maintaining and propelling your life in the midst of the difficulties. Then you’ll begin to understand, the reason and the purpose for which you are going through, what you are going through in life.
As He is upholding, sustaining, maintaining and propelling you; you will observe that you are beginning to develop spiritual muscles on the inside of you. God is expanding your spirit man. He is strengthening your spirit man into the fullest capacity, so that you can be expanded and increased on the inner man, to take and maintain the blessing which He is about to pour into your life. In the midst of your adversities in life, God is developing a new and bigger spirit man inside of you.
As Paul described who you are:
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
II Corinthians 5:17 NKJV
That’s the new you. Every problem that you overcame is old, and God is setting you up for the new things. For as long as we are living on the earth, problems are meant to always come. But they are never meant by God to destroy us. God’s plan is for you to use those problems, as a stepping stone into greater heights in Him. It is the devil who has always used problems in bringing Christians out of the will of God.
GROW STRONGER IN OBEDIENCE TO GOD
Every problem in our lives are spiritual; and spiritual problems requires spiritual solutions. You can’t think your way out of your problems. You’ve got to pray your way out of them all.
Prayer is the key to resolving all of your financial problems. We pray until we hear His voice. And when we hear His voice as we pray, we are supposed to be doing what He says to us. We don’t please ourselves. We live to please God alone. You can’t just freeze up and hold on to what you’ve heard Him say to you (Hebrews 10:36-39). You’ve got to obey God by doing what He says.
No, we don’t hold on to see if God will change His mind, and tell us something different from what we had already heard Him say. Forget about it. God will never change His mind, if you are not obeying what He told you the last time. Your quick obedience is the key for your salvation.
That’s how we get the manifestation of what we are believing Him for. It may not even be what we want to do. But our obedience to His voice has to be quick and earnest (Hebrews 11:6), if we really want a change in the situation.
The pathway into the blessing of God is in our earnest obedience to His command. If we become slow in obeying Him; then we are slowing down the manifestation of our blessing. God is never to be blamed. We are the architects of our own blessing.
PROSPERITY IN THE MIDST OF TROUBLES
So problems are not designed to destroy us, but they are meant to make us grow spiritually in loving God more and more.
David once said:
“May the mountains bring prosperity to the people, the hills the fruit of righteousness.”
Psalm 72:3 NIV
The financial mountains or problems in your life or in your ministry, are meant to bring the prosperity of God to you. They will never be able stop you, from doing what God told you to do. But as you position yourself in the place of prayer and intercession; those mountains or problems will all become a source of God’s blessing into your life.
You are going to be so blessed, to the extent that you will even start wondering, if the blessing will make you loose your righteousness in God. But as David said in the quoted scripture text above, the mountains that will bring you prosperity will soon become the hills of the fruit of righteousness in your life. God’s prosperity will never make you loose His presence in your life. His hand to prosper you comes with His righteousness being established in your life.
That’s why you don’t ever stop believing and trusting God. And you don’t ever stop praying, because your spiritual fruitfulness is about to come out. God is manifesting something bigger and stronger in your life and your ministry, that is bigger than you can ever imagine (Ephesians 3:20). “So be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might through prayer and your acts of faith. And your prosperity in the midst of all of these issues will start coming forth”. Amen!
STAY FOCUSED ON THE BLESSING
You are about to (as David wrote again):
“They go from strength to strength, till each appears before God in Zion.”
Psalm 84:7 NIV
So be focused, steadfast and strong as you move on into your high calling. Your spiritual muscles are really being enlarged. You know on the inner man, that you are moving from strength to strength in the presence of God. You are enjoying the ride and wave of God that is carrying you. Welcome to the new you!
