Jesus would never have been able to transform the world in which He grew up, if He had decided to live in it, as the people of Judea and Samaria were living during His time. There was no way He would have been able to accomplish all that He did, if He had been living like the religious leaders of His time.

Many during His time had thought that He had come to destroy their doctrines about the Law and the Prophets, which formed the foundation of the Jewish Laws and traditions.

This was one of the charges which was brought up against Him, during His trial before Pilate. They were not used to seeing a man who had not been tutored, in accordance with their religious traditions, going about doing miracles, signs and wonders as Jesus did.

It was something new to them. But they recognized that everything which were being done by Him, were in accordance with their Law. Jesus never broke the law, but He fulfilled it. This was a completely new thing to them. Jesus changed His world even though He was following the rules and the laws, that were in place at the time.

The religious leaders could not find any Jewish or Roman law, that could be applied to bring up genuine charges against Him, so as to crucify Him. So, they brought up some fake charges against Him (Matthew 26:59-61).

Jesus fulfilled the Law and the Prophets, so as to give us the New Covenant with the Father. He followed the Laws which existed within the very same structures of His world. And by fulfilling the Law and the Prophets, Jesus transformed the whole world. He accomplished more than what all the Prophets before Him had accomplished.

While fulfilling His accomplishments Jesus recognized the need for Him, to be tactful in dealing with the religious norms of the time. He knew that there were plans in place by the religious bigots of the Jewish world to get Him arrested. It was because of them that He had to come out openly saying:

“Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Jesus came to fulfill the Law and the Prophets, but the people of His world thought that His teachings, miracles, signs and wonders were destroying the Law and the religious social norm of the time. They misconstrued and misjudged the Ministry of Jesus among them.

But the status quo within Judea and Samaria had to change with its corruption. The Ministry of Jesus of Nazareth eventually brought in a new order to the world. John the Baptist had helped Him to lay the foundation for His earthly Ministry, when he began preaching repentance from the wilderness, and baptizing people in the river Jordan (see Luke 3:3-17).

Follow in the footsteps of Jesus.

We however do know that Jesus was fruitful and successful, in all that He did and everywhere that He went; by following the plan which had been given to Him by His Father from above. He changed His world by simply obeying and following that plan.

We need to acknowledge here that all the secrets of the systems of this world are with our God. He knows every way of men. He knows the intents of their hearts. He is aware of all their going out and coming in. All the schemes of men and the devil are not hidden from Him. There is absolutely no secret with God.

As the Bible says:

“The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭29:29‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

When we are in tune with God the Father, the secrets of the heart of men are exposed to us. Whatever the world may be hiding from you are not really secrets to you. They are only hidden so that only those, who are in Covenant with God, the Father may have access to them. God will reveal everything to you, as long as you are determined to work with Him and follow His plan for you on the earth.

God has an individual plan for each and every one of us on the earth. And we are all individually expected to go before Him and ask about each plan from Him. He had said:

“For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.”
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Don’t ever get into anything without first of all understanding the will of God about it. You must be able to comprehend what He told you to do. If you don’t understand anything, go back to Him and ask Him about it again. He will guide you and instruct you into His wisdom, which will often seem senseless to you initially. But as you progress by faith into it, you will begin to understand what you never understood before.

So, get yourself into His plan, and do it with all your spirit, soul and body. Do it with everything in your life – materially, financially and passionately. But do it by faith, so that His grace may cause you to abound, increase, expand and be fruitful in it (Romans 5:2). As His grace abounds in your life, you will begin to see the manifestation of His glory.

This was how Jesus started His Ministry in Nazareth, before moving on into Capernaum to establish His headquarters there. It was in Capernaum that He called out His first disciples, who were later designated as Apostles. God’s grace caused Jesus to become fruitful and multiply. And if grace by faith worked for Jesus, it will work for you also.

Now it was because Jesus was always in tune with the Father, that He was empowered into the step-by-step plan of God for Him on the earth. He never did anything without first hearing from the Father. God’s plan became His own plan. God’s agenda became His agenda. He had access into the secrets of the hearts of men on the earth, because of His union in fellowship with the Father. This unique access was exactly what made Him successful on the earth.

The religious leaders of His time were in fact amazed by the depth of the knowledge of God’s word in His life, even though He had never been taught by any of the teachers at the time.

The Bible says about their reaction to His teachings:

“And they were astonished at His teaching, for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:22‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

And the Bible described what they said of Him even in His hometown of Nazareth, where He grew up that:

“When He (Jesus) had come to His own country, He taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished and said, “Where did this Man get this wisdom and these mighty works? Is this not the carpenter’s son? Is not His mother called Mary? And His brothers James, Joses, Simon, and Judas? And His sisters, are they not all with us? Where then did this Man get all these things?””
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:54-56‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

He could not do a lot among them in Nazareth. He had to relocate to the north (Capernaum). Their rejection of His Ministry in Nazareth opened the door of salvation to the whole world.

These examples of Jesus are meant for us so that, as we follow in His footsteps concerning whatever God has called us to do, we will begin to see Him make our pathways successful.

Jesus later revealed to us the secret to His success in life, when He said:

“.. Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.”
‭‭John‬ ‭5:19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Whatever Jesus saw the Father doing was all that He had to do also, so as to see the hand of God being manifested upon Him. He never tried to copy what He saw the religious leaders of His world doing. He had come as a Leader and Deliverer from Heaven to the whole world, and to lay the foundation for His believers to follow. He never compromised what He saw the Father doing on this earth.

That was how He was successful in this world. He never tried to reinvent Himself, so as to transform the religiously corrupt system of His world. He solely followed after the plan of God for His life.

Even when the politically powerful leader of His world (Herod) tried to stop Him, from following the plan of God for His life, Jesus responded without mincing words:

“ .. Go, tell that fox, ‘Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.’ Nevertheless, I must journey today, tomorrow, and the day following; for it cannot be that a prophet should perish outside of Jerusalem.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭13:32-33‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

And as the followers of Jesus on this earth, we had been commissioned to follow after His examples, and not the examples of the world around us. Your fruitfulness on the earth in whatever you are doing right now for the Lord, must be solely dependent on your ability to follow Jesus’ footsteps by faith.

When you know exactly what God is telling you to do, you will be empowered to speak the truth about it, to every force of darkness that may be hindering you from fulfilling that call of God.

Many are failing today because they are not doing what the Lord told them to do. They see others having success in what God had told them to do, and then they presume that the same plan will work for them also. So, they begin to copy what God told others to do. They are not even taking time out to hear God about their own personal calling. So, they end up only to see themselves in the middle of it all, being entrapped in other people’s calling and vision for no reason at all.

Some others are not even patient and steadfast enough, to even be able to hear from God. Then they wonder why they are not seeing results in what they are doing. But in reality, the devil had deceived them into believing that, it was God who spoke to them.

We must understand that the devil has a way of imitating spiritual truth with his own deceptions, so as to prevent any Christian from flowing in the anointing of God over their lives. The devil is anointed also. That’s why every new salvation, deliverances, miracles, signs and wonders has to be scripturally tested and approved. There are many great men and women of God today, who are being hindered from the full manifestation of their calling, because of the deceptions from the devil.

That’s why we have the Bible as our guide to differentiate the voice of God from that of the devil. Learn to discern God’s voice with the scriptures. And learn to separate His voice in this way from that of the devil. Don’t be held captive by the world’s system from the flow of the anointing over your life. Be separated from the world, so as to start obeying God today.

The system of this world absolutely has nothing productive to give to you, in doing exploits for the Kingdom of God. It is a system that is solely reliant on what it can get from within itself. The world’s system thrives by sucking from one another’s successes. And this type of mentality has crept into the Body of Christ also.

Be watchful and very careful about the people you are looking up to as spiritual mentors. You are unique and the anointing over your life is unique. Learn to imitate Christ and follow in His footsteps.

As a child of God with a clearly defined vision, your plan comes from Heaven and not from the world. Heaven’s method of doing things is absolutely different from that of this world. Interestingly enough the plan of God to you will transform the system of your world, if you choose to cooperate by working with the Father who lives in you.

This means that it’s important for us as Christians, to always hear from God before going into any project. You cannot be misguidedly mistaking your fleshy feelings for the voice of God. And if you are not hearing from God, then you can be rest assured that you’re in big trouble. That’s how many have ended up following after, whatever they see other Christians like them doing within their world.

And if you’re not hearing from God, it’s obviously because you are listening more to the voices from the world around you. You are seeking the wisdom of men, rather than paying attention to the voice of the God who lives in you. That’s why some are not being transformed, so as to become fruitful in the calling of God over their lives.

They like to do their own things in every way that seems possible for them, without even listening to hear God’s voice. And it’s only when there are troubles all over the place, with those self-invented projects, that they will start praying, asking God to help them in resolving their difficulties.

Why is it that consulting with God has to be the last resort, after certain Christians had failed?

No spiritual fruit without transformation.

But the real issue here is that they are not even being transformed, by the renewal of their minds in the first place. That’s why they can’t hear God, even when He speaks to them. They have become so spiritual dead to the voice of the God, who lives in them. They are only hearing the voice of their own fleshy desires, responding to what they are seeing in the world around them. They have God’s word in their lives, but they are not allowing God’s word to speak to them, and work through them in resolving their issues for them.

The Apostle Paul said something interesting about this to the Romans, when he quoted the words of the Prophet Isaiah:

“Saying, ‘Go to this people and say: “Hearing you will hear and shall not understand; And seeing you will see, and not perceive; For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, so that I should heal them.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭28:26-27‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Begin by putting your faith into motion. Run with the vision and plan of God for your life, so that His grace may abound to bring you increase, multiplication and abundance into your calling. Let grace work for you through your faith in Him.

Follow His footsteps to be established.

Despite the confusion among some believers in Christ to identify God’s voice, there is an escape route available for them away from God’s judgement when Jesus said:

“Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.”

‭‭John‬ ‭15:2-4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Jesus is the Vine, and we are the Branches. Our Father in Heaven is the Vinedresser. Every Branch that’s not bearing spiritual fruit will be thrown away into the fire of God’s judgement. The fire is meant to destroy the Branch completely, because it’s worthless.

The words of Jesus from the Holy Scriptures are what cleanses us, as we decide to act on whatever He tells us to do. His very words that we are acting on by faith, are the words that justifies our actions of faith before Him. Those words of Jesus that are being acted upon cleanses us.

If His word is not cleansing you, your faith will become hindered while preventing His grace to abound in your life. It’s the Word that cleanses you, that will also consecrate you to the Lord in the Vineyard.

And it’s only to the degree that you’re allowing His Word to penetrate your heart, that those very words of Jesus will cleanse you, and make your Christian life fruitful and productive in this world. This was how Jesus was able to do so much in such a little time on the earth. He listened to the Father and He did only what the Father told Him to do.

There are those who are actually doing what the Lord told them to do today. But somehow along the way they’ve started listening to the world around them. And the result has been that they are not seeing the results, that they had expected. The addiction in their lives to the world’s system, had placed a curse on their good work of faith.

We must note here that anything that we do for the Lord, which seeks to glorify the world and its system, instead of glorifying God is already cursed. It will never be fruitful. It will die, because God’s glory can never be shared with the world.

It’s our ability to begin to bear spiritual fruit that gladdens the Father’s Heart. Spiritual fruits are meant to help us live a holy life before God. A consecrated life to God, the Father is meant to help us live a holy lifestyle, within this corrupt and evil world’s system.

Just as the fruit of the flesh are used by the devil to help sinners to live a sinful lifestyle on the earth; the fruit of the Spirit are meant to help us in the pursuit of holiness unto the Lord.

You are the one who decides what type of fruit you want to bear on the earth (see Galatians 5:19-26). God has nothing to do with the choices in life that we do make. But you will be held accountable for the type of life, that you end up living on this earth.

As Jesus pointed out above it’s the ability of the believer to bear spiritual fruit, that makes God to prune the fruitful Branch, to become more fruitful. God is happy to see His children bearing spiritual fruit always.

The pruning process is never a pleasant experience, because it will take away from the believer’s lifestyle in the world, those very things that they have been so comfortable with. Spiritual pruning may sometimes be brutal.

And this is obviously what is going on right now with many children of God. God is pruning His children all over the world right now. His goal is to make us all ready, for the harvest that had been prepared for us.

Are you allowing Him to prune you? Or will you rather be cut off from the Vine? The choice is yours, but time is running out. Be wise and be smart to redeem your time. Get yourself transformed by the renewal of your mind, so as to start following in the footsteps of Jesus today. You will be glad you did it.
