The scriptures warned us in different places about, the danger of being entrenched in the subcultures of this world and its religious traditions. It is what mostly hinders many believers in Christ, from experiencing the fullness of the prosperity of the Lord.

It prevents Christians from walking in love. And when your love walk is inhibited, then you can not live by faith in God. Anything that is not given birth to in your life by faith is a sin (Romans 14:23). And if there is unrighteousness in your life, your prosperity will be dimmed.

Religious subcultures and traditions are the major reasons, why many are not experiencing the prosperity of the Lord in their lives. Satan will use dead works of religion and traditions to stop the blessing flow in your life.

You’ve got to be careful about living your Christian lifestyle, based on the popular sound beats of your world. Your Christian life ought to always be guided and led by what the scriptures says; and not based on popularity with the world.

The whole world may have their own perceptions of what is right and what is wrong; but God’s word is always the truth to pivot your life into prosperity. And don’t ever let the world tell you that the scriptures are outdated. God’s word is always new and current everyday.

Remember that Jesus said:

“Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.”
Matthew 24:35 NIV

Times may change. Seasons and years may change the world around you. But God’s word is always constant and steady. It is never moved or changed by a changing world. It is always the truth, because God never changes. And God never grows old or out of style. The world will always grow out of style and fashion; because nothing in its system is steadfast. But your God is the unchangeable Changer of all things.

Watch and pray over your understanding of God’s word

The scripture says:

“By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.”
Hebrews 11:3 NKJV

The above scripture text says, that “by faith we understand”. In other words our understanding of God’s word, comes by our act of believing in His word. This is how you can begin to see spiritually, in creating the unseen things; by calling them with names, just as God created the universe. Your faith in the spoken word has power in it. For as long as you are keeping your love walk, straightened up and constant always, your faith will work.

Believing in God for anything is therefore, the ability to see those things just as God sees them. It’s possible for us to be looking at the same thing as human beings, but yet be seeing it from different perspectives. But when you are seeing in the spirit, your faith is activated for action, to start speaking like God on the earth. This is when the illumination of God’s word brings light into your heart. But faith has to be active, so as to enlighten your heart. An inactive faith is just as good as blind eyes. It can’t see anything in the spirit.

But you need to also be careful about, what you are seeing in the spirit; because Satan has a way of using what you are believing God for against you. He will use that very thing against your faith, in undermining what you’re believing God for. He knows how to present his darkness to you, as the light of God (2 Corinthians 11:14).

Satan knows how to manipulate spiritual truth against your faith. If he can hinder your love walk, he will get at your faith walk also. And remember that the only thing that you will take with you into eternity with God, are the things that you are using your faith to build here on earth.

Satan once showed Jesus all the glory of this world, in order to tempt him into bowing down and worshipping him (Luke 4:6-8). If he could tempt Jesus in this manner, he will do it to you also. If he could tempt King David with a naked woman (Bathsheba); he will use the same tactic to go after you also.

No matter how anointed you may be in this life; you are never anointed beyond being tempted with evil. As long as you live in the physical body, temptations will always come. But you must learn how to rule over it (Genesis 4:7).

And the more you know how to rule over temptations, the stronger you will become spiritually against any shot that Satan fires at you. His degree of temptations will intensify against you, as you are getting stronger and bolder in resisting him. But so also is the grace of God to carry you through. You were created to triumph and rule over temptations always. Don’t let the Devil lie to you, that you can’t resist it.

That’s why you need to be spiritually prepared always, to handle the meat of God’s word. Many have failed because they were never spiritually prepared for God’s blessing. The milk of God’s word is for spiritual babies. But those who have trained themselves over time with it, do need the meat of the word. This will open the door for more of God’s grace in your life to carry the blessing.

Now, wealth and riches does not always come in the form of finances alone. Wealth and riches can be in the areas of good and sound health, wisdom, spiritual gifts and much more.

Whenever the abundant rain of revelational lights begins to pour down into your heart from God’s word; that is when the Holy Spirit will start leading and guiding you, to do things in prospering yourself.

As David said:

“He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.”
Psalm 23:2-3 NIV

There are times when I had personally experienced this, while praying in the spirit. The Lord just begins to pour out of the abundance of revelations from His word into my heart. He does it to empower you to see and receive the revelations, into the riches of His glory that’s been stored up for you in Christ Jesus.

The showers of blessing comes in the form of revelational lights. When revelational lights begins to flow in continuous sequence into your heart, you had better get a pen and paper, to start writing down what the Lord is revealing to you. Don’t miss out of your blessing as Adam and Eve did.

God doesn’t rain money down from the skies; but He will always lead and guide you to your blessing places. It is your faith that will have to take the blessing for you, when you get to those places of your destiny in life. Faith makes what exists in the invisible world to become a reality in your natural world.

Everything that we receive from the Lord is by faith. If it’s not by faith, then it’s by your human efforts. Anything that is not by faith doesn’t give glory to God. It doesn’t guarantee you the blessing. That’s why you can’t be calling your fixed salary a blessing. It is what you worked for with your hands.

But God wants to give you far more than all of that. And it’s never based on what you’ve done. It is rather based on the nature of your Father, who loves you. That’s why God’s love is vitally important in you, because that nature of God working through you, is meant to be changing other lives. God does not bless you, so as to enrich yourself. He wants you to spread His love for all the world to see, as you are spreading His prosperity.

“Showers of blessing” as mentioned last week signifies, the abundance of revelations and wisdom; that will keep flowing through your heart. It will continue to flow to the extent that, you can’t even be able to catch up with it at all, with your physical senses. But your spirit man will grasp the most important thing about it. And that’s all you need for your prosperity.

Adam was in this position, but he failed to use his faith with the word of God to him, to tap into the blessings of creation. He chose to rather follow the words of the serpent. A created man in the image of God decided to follow, the leading of a low rated created animal. Adam went below his class, and did not recover from it.

Ask God for the spiritual eyes to see what belongs to you

Paul said to the Ephesians:

“I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength”
Ephesians 1:17-19 NIV

This was how Paul prayed always for the believers at Ephesus. His desire for them was that they might be able to discover what God had in store for them. And as stated by Paul, you do need the Spirit of wisdom and revelation to know what really belongs to you in Christ Jesus. The Bible is your book of wisdom and revelation. But you need the Holy Spirit to guide you into revelation knowledge of those things.

Daniel had this spiritual experience in Babylon also. That was how he learned so much in giving counsel and wisdom to the King of Babylon.

He said once to the King:

“…Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever; wisdom and power are his. He changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him.
Daniel 2:20-22 NIV

God gives wisdom and knowledge to the discerning heart. But it takes a heart that’s full of faith to discern spiritual things. God searches the hidden treasures of darkness, so as to lead those who dwell in His light into them. The righteousness of God in our lives, helps us in discerning the true application of His knowledge, and wisdom in our lives.

Therefore:

“Who is wise? Let them realize these things. Who is discerning? Let them understand. The ways of the Lord are right; the righteous walk in them, but the rebellious stumble in them.”
Hosea 14:9 NIV

Walk in wisdom by using your faith to start seeing what God sees around you. That’s your blessing place. Your faith walk in love, can turn around the rejected or despised things in your world, into a gold mine for your life. Begin to tap into them now, as the Lord leads and guides you. And remember that riches and wealth are never forever. So spread the prosperity into other worthwhile ventures and lives around you.
