When you keep the door to the revelation light of God open, by allowing thanksgiving to overflow your heart; it will cause the joy of the Lord to rise up in your life, to overcome everything that the enemy is bringing across your pathway.

Praise and worship is one of the greatest avenues that are available to a child of God, in opening the door into the presence of the Most High God. A worshipper of God in Spirit and truth (John 4:24), does not only gain access into God’s presence, he or she gains access into the truth by the Spirit of Light.

Praise and worship in this manner therefore has to be sacrificial with joy. A true worshipper praises and worships the Father, not because of the circumstance in his or her life; but in spite of it. Praising and worshipping God will get you into the presence of the Lord, as you get into it boldly with a joyful heart (Hebrews 4:16). God gets your attention when you praise Him. He enjoys your praise and worship always.

You may be going through some difficulties in life right now. But in the midst of all that you’re going through, your ability to praise and worship God with thanksgiving, will eventually open the door of God’s favor into your life.

Your situation does not necessarily need to be perfect or comfortable, before you are able to praise and worship God. There may not even be any positive sign of change or progress around you, but you must be willing to praise and worship Him.

It is a quality decision that you make to worship God. God is not demanding your praise and worship, but He deserves it. This is the type of decision that you’ll have to make, but which you can never compromise, change or abandon.

As the Prophet Habakkuk said:

“Though the fig tree may not blossom, Nor fruit be on the vines; Though the labor of the olive may fail, And the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, And there be no herd in the stalls— Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.”

‭‭Habakkuk‬ ‭3:17-18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Such attitude in praising and worshipping God, will not only prosper you spiritually, materially and financially. But the ability to sow your words in praise and worship by this means, causes the peace of God to bring you healing for your body also. It will give you a good healthy body.

As the Prophet Isaiah said by the Holy Spirit:

“start singing my praises. No matter where you are, I, the Lord, will heal you and give you peace.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭57:19‬ ‭CEV‬‬

Turning it around with praise

No matter what you are going through right now, your ability to praise and worship God will bring you peace at heart. It will take your prosperity to a new level. It will bring healing and restoration to your body. You see when we praise God we get His attention. You can’t get into His presence without praising Him.

As the Psalmist said:

“O Lord, how blessed are the people who experience the shout of worship, for they walk in the radiance of your presence.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭89:15‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Our worship of God causes us to experience His presence in our lives. It brings God’s presence into our lives and surroundings. It moves the heart of God to do something about your situation. It causes you to walk confidently in His presence, just as if nothing is going on in your life. Praise and worship takes your focus off the circumstances, into the place of rest and peace in the radiant light of His presence. You will come out of worship knowing fully well, that everything is going to be okay.

You approach God’s presence with praise, but you can also take it to a higher level with your worship. When you are worshiping God with the words from your lips, He will surely come to you. Worship moves God’s presence into your life. Don’t just be praising Him, learn how to worship Him also for who He is.

There are Christians who do not even know the difference between praise and worship. Some do a lot of praising, singing, clapping and dancing before the Lord; but they don’t worship. And because of the absence of worship, they rarely see the manifestation of the supernatural among them. While others only focus on worship. But unfortunately their experience can’t be tangible, without the expression of joy before the Lord.

The clapping of hands, singing, dancing, leaping and shouting are all expressions of joy in God’s presence. It’s like little children running around the house in the presence of the parents. God is our Father. He takes great pleasure to see us acting like this in His presence. It is what causes Him to pay attention to you, just as a earthly father pays attention to his children at play.

That’s why David said in the Passion Translation:

“You can pass through his open gates with the password of praise. Come right into his presence with thanksgiving. Come bring your thank offering to him and affectionately bless his beautiful name!”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭100:4‬ ‭TPT

‬‬Praise is the password that you sow to get into His presence. But as soon as you get there, you will need to begin worshipping Him. When you find rest and peace in this manner with God, then your soul begins to prosper. You will then get to the place spiritually, where it’s very hard for Satan to come after you. Praise and worship will cause you to find the grace that brings you prosperity, healing and deliverance. And every time you are doing this, you are sowing seed towards your harvest before God.

Your eternal covenant is guaranteed with peace

You will notice that in Psalm 103, David itemized each one of the goodness of the Lord in his life, that he was expressing before the Lord. God could not resist or refuse anything that David wanted from Him. The result of this was the establishment of an eternal covenant with a promise to David. The Lord spoke to David through the Prophet Nathan:

“And your house and your kingdom shall be established forever before you. Your throne shall be established forever.”

‭‭II Samuel‬ ‭7:16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

What a statement from God. Will you not like God to say that about you? An everlasting covenant with God was established, as a result of the words (seeds) that David sowed before the Lord. God can not resist the words (seeds) of a righteous man, that are sowed in this way. It takes the man of faith in God to be able to do this.

The peace of God will guide your heart to sow words, in the midst of scarcity around you. It takes a spiritual man to be able to do this. You have to be spiritually connected with your seed-word, for those words to come out of the abundance of joy from your heart. You can’t get God’s attention by just sowing empty words, from your mind before God and still expect to get His attention. No, God looks at the heart and not the mind (1 Samuel 16:7).

Paul said:

“For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Eternal life and peace comes out of the spiritual connection, that you have with the words coming out of your mouth. Your words must be aligned with the promises of God to you, from the abundance of your heart’s meditation (Luke 6:45). These are the promises that you are standing on in His presence as you are worshipping Him.

A carnally minded Christian can’t sow words in this was. Due to the fact that his mind is not renewed, he will always say anything that comes through his unrenewed mind. A carnally minded Christian will alter and utter God’s promises, to satisfy the desire of his or her flesh.

The Prophet Isaiah wrote:

“You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭26:3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The soul of a righteous man on the other hand can always rest at peace, as the Holy Spirit leads and guides him, in speaking the right words to honor God in praise and worship. David once said of a man like that:

“Mark the blameless man, and observe the upright; For the future of that man is peace.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭37:37‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Shalom guides the heart of the righteous man into his prosperity. The Passion Translation says these very words of David like this:

“But you can tell who are the blameless and spiritually mature. What a different story with them! The godly ones will have a peaceful, prosperous future with a happy ending.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭37:37‬ ‭TPT

Not only does praising and worshipping God helps you to be spiritually matured, but according to David it causes you to prosper. This was the secret to the prosperity of David. He became so wealthy and his reign as King, is still being referred to today as the most ‬peaceful in Israel.‬

Job also said:

“You shall know that your tent is in peace; You shall visit your dwelling and find nothing amiss.”

‭‭Job‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭NKJV

Your prosperity will be untouchable by the enemy. Nothing that is yours will be lost in the midst of the famine going on around you. How is your lifestyle of praise and worship? Are you getting His attention for the supernatural? You might want to learn how to tarry longer in His presence. It will make a lot of difference in your life, because God wants to fellowship with you. Start honoring Him more with your praise and worship.

So:

“May the nations praise you, O God.
Yes, may all the nations praise you.
Then the earth will yield its harvests,
and God, our God, will richly bless us.
Yes, God will bless us,
and people all over the world will fear him.”

Psalms 67:5-9 NLT
