God’s word coming out of the mouth of the righteous is always in His wisdom. As a careful listener to the Lord he is able to tap into wisdom, with a heart that is full of complete obedience to Him. He guides his heart and his mouth away from pondering and speaking vain things. All his actions in obedience to God are geared towards doing only what the Lord says.
However just like every other person on the earth today, the righteous man has a past also. He had not always been righteous. He once used to be a sinner, but his sins had been washed away by the blood of Jesus Christ. And as a result of this he is able to stand boldly before God, just as if he had never sinned before. God remembers his sins no more.
And righteousness had been imputed to him. He is now a child of God and as a result of this, access into all of the wisdom of God has also been given to him. The wisdom of the world has no part in him anymore. His life belongs to God alone.
He now finds great delight in the future that is ahead of him in Christ Jesus. He delights in obeying the Lord. He now lives the new life in Christ Jesus, without any consciousness of the sins that had been washed away.
The very hand that delivered him from his past, is the same hand that has lifted him up. And it’s this very hand of God that gives him the strength to be able to stand, and do exploits for the Lord in His wisdom.
God is not ashamed to call him – “son”. What the enemy had meant for his destruction, had been turned around to bless him. No matter how long his turn around in life may have been delayed, he now knows that God’s hand is upholding and keeping him stronger. The hand that gives him the strength to be able to stand, is the same hand that is protecting and keeping him away from evil.
You might have fallen so low to the bottom pit of life’s problems at this very moment, and thinking that there is no way for you, to ever be able to make it out of your situation. The good news for you is that God has not forgotten about you.
I have learnt from my own personal experience that, every success story in life begins with a crisis. So if the crisis of life has brought you very low and rejected, because of your love for Jesus; I want you to know that there is a rising up available for you. God will lift you up. He will keep you and help you to turn your life’s crisis into creativity, so as to change your world.
If in fact every attempts to help yourself out of the crisis and troubles of life had failed, to the extent that those self help attempts and failures has added more to your shame. I want you to know for sure that the best part of your life’s story is about to begin.
You might had attempted to help yourself without the hand of the Lord, because dead religious teachings had taught you to believe that – “heaven helps those who do help themselves”.
But now you are beginning to realize that it’s not the truth. You are now beginning to acknowledge that except the Almighty God alone helps you, you will just have been wasting your time. And until you begin to see the Lord as the only help that you do have, the crisis around you will keep on getting worse.
Not only have you experienced self degradation with complete disaster and failure; but men and the whole world around you have failed you also. Your life has now become so repulsive to your friends. They have all disappointed you. But being disappointed by all qualifies you for God’s favor and help.
And maybe you are even thinking that nobody loves or cares about you. I do have good news for you. Jesus loves you and He really cares about you. He is stretching His hand to you right now. Will you give Him a chance to turn your life’s crisis into your blessing of creativity? That’s Jesus’ area of specialization. He specializes in turning ashes into beauty. He will turn your disaster into glory. The story of your life is about to just getting started, from the moment you allow Jesus to step into the situation.
You were created to bring glory to God and not shame. Can you see His hand stretched out to you right now?
The devil had thought that he had succeeded in preventing your light from shining. He has forgotten that God never created you for defeat. Darkness cannot exist where there is the revelation light of God. The Lord has not left you alone or forsaken, so that the enemy may destroy you. He has never left anyone in trouble alone. His eyes has always been on you.
He is stretching out His hand to you right now, saying:
“And I have put My words in your mouth; I have covered you with the shadow of My hand, That I may plant the heavens, Lay the foundations of the earth, And say to Zion, ‘You are My people.’ ”
Isaiah 51:16 NKJV
The Lord is ready to lift you up and plant you on the solid Rock, which is Christ Jesus. Are you willing to give Him your hand for the lifting up?
Murmuring gets no one anywhere with God
Some have been so accustomed to crying and blaming everything, that is around them for their predicaments in life today. That’s why they can’t hear from God anymore. All they are seeing is everything that the enemy has planted, to hinder their faith from working. The devil has deceived them into forgetting that, they are involved in a spiritual warfare.
So they continue to cry and murmur, while God’s hand is outstretched towards them. They are unable to see God’s hand, because they have been so busy murmuring and complaining.
However their situation persists for as long as they are unable to see God’s hand at work. They are only seeing their troubles, instead of seeing the Lord at work in their particular situations. So they are missing out of God’s wisdom.
You see Joseph (as the Bible told us) once had a dream. He had talked about his dream to everyone in his family. In fact his father had made him a garment of many colors because of this. But Joseph knew within himself that his dream was bigger, than that garment of many colors. His brothers then decided to snatch the garment away from him, thinking that it was his dream of glory. So they sold him into slavery; hoping to kill and destroy his dream. But Joseph kept on dreaming. He never murmured about what he was going through.
Joseph thereafter in Egypt became a servant slave in Potiphar’s house, but he still kept his dream intact. He never allowed the enemy to take his attention away, from the dream of everyone in his family coming to bow down before him. He was very young, but he was focused on the dream from God.
In fact Potiphar gave him a new garment of glory over his house. But just as his brothers did to him, Potiphar’s wife decided also to snatch it away from him. She finally got him confined in jail, for refusing to be tempted into sexual sin with her (Genesis chapters 37 and 39).
As the Bible says:
“But he refused and said to his master’s wife, “Look, my master does not know what is with me in the house, and he has committed all that he has to my hand. There is no one greater in this house than I, nor has he kept back anything from me but you, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?”
Genesis 39:8-9 NKJV
Joseph knew what sin in the flesh would had done to the dream from the Lord inside him. He would not tolerate any appearance of evil in his life to destroy that dream. He had gone through a lot as a young boy. He had lost his mother very early in life. He went through the rejection, anger and the persecution from his own relatives; who had hated him for his dream. He now knew that only God’s hand could lift him up, to bless him more and more in accordance to the dream.
Joseph had his own relatives and even foreigners, trying to kill God’s dream in his life. But he never murmured or complained to anyone about what was being done. He kept the right attitude in protecting his dream. He was forgotten in jail by all men, but the God who gave him the dream never forgot about him. The glory of men (the garments) that were given to him, in substituting God’s glory for his dream, were all eventually taken away from him. Yet in jail the hand of the Lord was resting on him.
This Hebrew young man never stopped dreaming, even with all these predicaments of life. He was a Prince, yet he was living like a slave, because of the crisis and troubles of his life. He knew that the God who gave him the dream, would eventually bring it to come to pass. So he never allowed the time served in jail to steal his dream from him.
And on the day when he never expected it, the same God who gave him the dream, gave Pharaoh (the king of Egypt) two dreams also. No one could interpret the dreams for Pharaoh. But his butler remembered that Joseph knew something about dreams.
Joseph was brought from the jail into the king’s palace, so as to interpret the king’s dreams for him. He was able to interpret Pharaoh’s two dreams, because God’s wisdom was working in his life. When God’s hand rests upon you, His wisdom will always flow from you to bless your world. God’s wisdom granted Joseph favor, as a slave and as a prisoner. When we are walking in the wisdom of God, His grace will always brighten our path to glory.
That was how Joseph finally ended up from the jail to becoming the Prime Minister of Egypt in one day. He never lobbied for the position, as many in the world will often do today. Joseph never had any previous connection with the king of Egypt, but he was connected with the King of all kings. The God who had the heart of the king in His hand (Proverbs 21:1), caused His favor to follow Joseph as he appeared before Pharaoh.
No matter for how long you may had been dreaming, do not allow men or your circumstances in life to kill that dream. Don’t allow the effects of COVID-19 to kill your dream. Keep your dream alive, just as Joseph kept his dream alive, by not murmuring about the circumstances of his life. He walked in God’s wisdom, by allowing the Lord to work the process out for him. That’s the pathway to real victory in Christ Jesus. One day your dream will come to pass, if you don’t ever stop dreaming.
So it’s time to stop murmuring. Jesus was not manifested as the Son of God, for you to specialize in complaining and murmuring. He was manifested to testify about God’s glory into your life. He was manifested to destroy the works of the devil, which may be holding you down in bondage right now (1 John 3:8). Jesus was manifested as the Son of God to keep your dream alive.
Turning things around for your own good
Today there are many in churches who don’t really have Christ as the center of their lives. They want to love Him more but the desires of the world, has torn their hearts away from the love of Christ. Church attendance has become a routine for them.
They like to talk a lot about their church, but rarely do they talk about Jesus. They have substituted the love for Jesus with their fleshy desires. Many of them have dreams, but they are seeking to fulfill their dreams in the wisdom of the world. Their dreams has become stale and unfruitful in most cases, solely because they are not allowing the life of Christ, to keep those dreams alive in them.
These ones are often confused with regards to the doctrines of their denominations, because they have not been actively involved in the church. Their spiritual life is not being impacted by God’s word, that is being taught and preached from the pulpit. They are always seeking to gratify the desires of their flesh in the Church. And that is why they are struggling with spiritual growth.
As an example, they will make the same prayer request over and over again, but you will rarely see them sowing the seeds of prayer into other peoples’ lives. Just as their dreams has become stale, their prayer life has become stale as well. They are not able to pray alone for their own personal breakthroughs. Satan has gotten them into the rabbit hole with their dreams dying within them.
With all that they had been hearing and receiving from the pulpit, they ought to be the ones praying for others by now (Hebrews 5:12-14). But it’s not the situation with them. The confessions of their mouth easily exposes them for all to see through their hearts (Luke 6:45). It’s often filled with the garbage from the unsaved world, instead of what is being declared from the pulpit. So they can’t pray, because they don’t even know what they do believe.
With the spiritual deposits from the pulpit into their lives, they ought to be giving salvation, healing and deliverance to their friends in the world by this time. But it is not the case. When they open their mouth to speak, they can only talk about their problems, because that’s all they are seeing.
They are unable to allow their dreams to make room for them, because of the devil’s rabbit hole that they had been pushed into. God has His hand stretched out to them, but they keep holding on to their problems. There is remedy available to them, but it’s quickly eluding them.
That’s how they have demoted themselves from Church membership, into becoming dead religious statutes in the House of God. God keeps calling out to them, but they are not responding; since they are so deaf of hearing.
They are more occupied with listening to the voice of sympathy for their problems. So they are never able to tap into all that the Father has provided for them in Christ Jesus.
Compassion and sympathy are two different things. We are called to show compassion to people, but Christians need to be careful about showing sympathy, for those who are lazy with their faith. They don’t need it. But they do need the compassion of God working through us, to help their faith grow.
When you are showing sympathy to a lazy man, he may exploit your generosity as your weakness. And the moment he stops getting that sympathy from you, he will dump you and go after other Christians, who can be exploited by him with their sympathy for him.
A man who had been prayed for and had received healing, needs to be putting his faith to work, by going out to pray for others. Sympathy does not heal the sick, but compassion always does. Jesus was always moved with compassion and not sympathy, to do everything that He did on the earth. And He expects us to do the same thing in working miracles, signs and wonders on the earth.
A man who is being shown sympathy because of his sickness, will never be moved by faith to receive his miracle. He needs compassion and not sympathy. Our compassion towards him will help him to activate his faith for healing. That’s how he is able to keep his miracle and stay healthy also.
And if after being healed by the Lord, he does not use his testimony to make room for himself and his dream, the devil will steal that testimony away from him. The gifts of God in the believer’s life that are not being attended to, will get the attention of the devil. The believer in Christ needs to let his gifts make room for him. He was saved to save others, healed to heal others and delivered to minister deliverance to others. He can obviously get more souls saved, more sick people healed and more of the oppressed delivered; as he puts his faith to work with his personal testimonies.
These are the ways by which he can allow his gifts, to make room for him in bringing his dream to come to pass. He can turn his own life around, no matter how far away from the Lord, he may have gone right now.
This is how he is able to stop murmuring and complaining – by giving glory to God. And the more he does these things, the more he will become established in what he has received from the Lord.
Let your life be beneficial to others
The Father has His hand already stretched out to you. Instead of murmuring you need to be rejoicing in what is coming your way. God has not left you alone or forsaken you. Let Him hold your hand and get you out of the devil’s rabbit hole. Will you give God the chance today?
Being a Christian is beneficial to others around you (Psalms 103:1). You were saved to get others saved as well. You were healed to heal others around you. You were delivered to bring deliverance to others. All these are the benefits that Christ has given to every Christian, and which we are all meant to be using in replenishing the earth (Genesis 9:1).
Are you taking advantage of your benefits in Christ Jesus, by spreading them out as your seeds to replenish the earth? Or have you made a dead statute of your Christian life with those benefits? A statute or monument cannot praise the Lord. It cannot pray or even read the Bible.
Being a church member does not make you a Christian. Let the testimony of Jesus from your lips reveal Christ to your world. That’s what Christianity is all about. Christianity has everything in reality to do with the life of Christ, being duplicated and multiplied to replenish the earth; through the believers in His name.
It’s not about what you can get from the benefits of being in God’s Kingdom. It’s about you being a doer of everything that Christ did on the earth. Are you a Christian or a religious person?
Do something about it now
Your financial and health situation may be so bad right now. The effects of COVID-19 may be biting hard on you. Your business may have gone down too. And to make it worse today, there are no jobs around for you to do also.
The world around you is in the same situation like you. And you are wondering why has the lot of the ungodly fallen on the righteous also? Yes, bad things do happen to good people also. The only difference is in the attitude of the righteous towards those things.
But you do carry the solution in your hands. You have the answer that the world is looking for on your finger tips. You have God’s wisdom in you. And why are you struggling to allow the Lord to work through you? Your hands are meant for the miracles of God. If only you will let the Father’s hand lift you up, you will be amazed by what He will use you to do.
It’s your reaction as a child of God to the changes in your world, that separates you from bringing godly answer to it. Attitude matters a lot. Your attitude to what is going on around you, can either mold or redefine your destiny in the world.
You do have the Christian hope that the world does not have. That’s why I want to let you know that, God is in all of these with you. He is never late to deliver those who are loved by Him. He is always on time. He may not show up at your own set time, but He will show up at the perfect time.
That’s why you don’t need to be looking up to men or the world to help you. God has His hand on you right now. He is all the help that you do need. And if you have God as your Helper, you do have everything that you need. That’s why you don’t need to be seeing yourself, revolving around the same circles of life over and over again.
This is the moment when you need to stop complaining about things. Stop complaining about other people. They are not your problem. You are making yourself the problem by murmuring about others.
It’s time for you to start looking up to God alone for deliverance. He will pick you up and get you out of that situation. He alone can do what men cannot do for you. He wants to use your hand to heal the sick, your mouth to speak salvation to the lost, while you’re bringing good health and deliverance to your world. So stop murmuring and begin to look at what God’s hand is offering you.
You see every time when the devil brings trouble upon a Christian, so as to bring him down; God’s word will always come to that believer. He is then able to stand up and be lifted up.
Many cannot hear from God today, because they are too busy complaining to Him. Your complaints can never move God, but your faith in action on His promises will do.
In the midst of every trouble of life God’s word has always carried His wisdom to deliver His people (Psalms 18:16-19). But it’s still the responsibility of the believer in Christ to act on the basis of that word. This is where many Christians are missing it today, because they are not acting on the word of God. They do believe with their hearts, but it’s their inability to start acting by doing what the word says, that is making them linger in their faith walk.
The wisdom of God to you demands that you activate your faith by acting on it now, so as to get the expected results. So go out and do something positive today to change your world. This is your season of increase. It is your moment of promotion from the Lord.
That’s why as the Lord spoke through David:
“The LORD has been mindful of us; He will bless us; He will bless the house of Israel (His people); He will bless the house of Aaron (His priests). He will bless those who fear the LORD, Both small and great. May the LORD give you increase more and more, You and your children. May you be blessed by the LORD, Who made heaven and earth.”
Psalms 115:12-15 NKJV
Welcome into your increase more and more – faith by faith (Romans 1:17). Then grace with grace will bring you the increase. It’s coming to those who are great and small around you. You are truly blessed.
