As a child of God who is going through the same type of trial, which the wicked people of the world are also going through right now; you can be rest assured that your case is different from theirs. The attitude of a believer in Christ towards the COVID-19 experience, should never be like that of the ungodly.
You’re in the middle of the test of your faith. It’s therefore important to guard your loin very well, and be prepared for what Jesus has for you next (Luke 12:35-40). How you’re reacting to the news and other tales around you now, will eventually affect how you will come out of the situation with COVID-19.
Apostle Peter forewarned us about this when he wrote:
“Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are. In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation.”
1 Peter 5:8-10 NLT
After a little while it will all be over, and the Lord will pull you out by Himself. He will restore you. He will support and strengthen you. And He will position you on a firmer foundation, which can never be moved or shaken again. That’s why you should not have a place in your heart, to be entertaining the performance type of Christianity of some at all, in the midst of what is going on.
God has His eyes on you, as a Father watching over His children. He is looking at how you are exercising your faith, in the midst of this thing which is shaking the world right now. It’s by faith that you will have to come out of it, even as the Lord will be directing and guiding your steps through it all.
This is not the time to be crying before God. He will never answer stupid prayers, when He had already provided all the answers for you in the Bible – His Word to you. Just get into your Bible and begin to dig for the answers. The answers to your prayers are right there in His written word to you. Read it, study it and get to know what He is saying to you for today.
He surely does has a message for you, so that you won’t have to be confronting this situation again, as the wicked are doing. You can only be able to sail through this season successfully, if only you are looking into the Scriptures for the answers to your concerns. God will never tell you something that contradicts, what His written word has already declared to you.
And you don’t have any business looking out for someone to give you a word of Prophecy either. That’s what will make you spooky and a fake. The only word of Prophecy had already been sent. It’s in God’s word – the Holy Bible. Many are being deceived by wolves in sheep’s clothing, who are going about deceiving people as if they are Prophets. If God has anything else to tell you apart from what is written in the Bible, He knows how to get it to you. It’s nothing for you to be concerned about. Just keep looking at His written word to live, and make it to the very end of COVID-19.
Remember the very words of Jesus during a time like this, which He warned us about. He said:
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them.”
Matthew 7:15-20 NKJV
Double up on your Everlasting Covenant
Therefore be alert! Don’t back away from faith in Him. Don’t give in to the devil’s lies. You are not alone in this. Every child of God on the earth today are going through the same test of faith, that you are going through. But if you will only allow the words of the Everlasting Covenant, to become the anchor of your soul, you will be rejoicing when it’s all over.
This is the time for you to be strengthening your Everlasting Covenant, with the Father more than ever before. God has His eyes on His Eternal Covenant by the Blood of Jesus with you. And His words are His bond. Your shield and protection is in the Blood of the Covenant by Christ Jesus. You need it to be able to come out stronger than when COVID-19 started.
And it’s only those who are keeping God in remembrance of this Everlasting Covenant, that will be able to come out stronger than before, so as to be able to walk with Him in new strength.
This is the time to be exercising your faith in the Blood Covenant more than ever before. You can’t say that you have faith in God, without having faith in the Everlasting Covenant with Him. The two are eternally glued together. Your faith in God and in His Covenant with you always goes together. They can’t be separated from one another. You can’t be walking in one, while ignoring the other. God is watching your faithfulness in both ends. And you must be found faithful at the end.
It’s all about the Covenant..
We are living in a world where many are not committed, to keeping the word of their covenant oaths with one another. We can see how many things are falling apart, so quickly and rapidly every day. It goes to prove to us that nothing really works, without keeping covenants on this earth. Nothing can ever work for you, if you’re not committed to the word of promises, that you’re giving to people.
You see, when God created the heavens and the earth, He entered into a Covenant with everything that He created. And they are all still functioning today in the very way, that He created them to function according to His Covenant with them (Jeremiah 33:20). Nothing that was created from the beginning has ever broken Covenant with God, except for human beings who were created in His own image. The sun, the moon and the stars have never broken their Covenant with God since creation.
We (human beings) are the only creations of God, that has been breaking faith in the Covenant with Him. This began with the rebellion of Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden. And it has never ceased till today. Even though God had to send us His Son (Jesus), so as to make it easier for us, to be able to keep our faith in the Covenant with Him. That however has not made people to quit living in unrighteousness.
Marriages are falling apart daily as spouses take their eyes off, the covenant oath that they took together with one another. Children are being disobedient to their parents, because they had never been taught to honor their words. In most instances they honor themselves and their friends more, while majority of them have relegated their parents to the background.
Businesses are also experiencing the same thing, as business partners are unilaterally deciding to walk out of agreements with one another, without even any consideration for their oaths of commitment to one another.
Get smarter with your Covenant
There are wars, chaos and anarchy everywhere, because people are not paying attention to the oaths, that they took with one another. King Solomon once said that (The Passion Translation):
“Wise people are builders— they build families, businesses, communities. And through intelligence and insight their enterprises are established and endure.”
Proverbs 24:3 TPT
A Covenant keeper is a wise person. Such a person understands the great advantage in the things, that are being made available by entering into covenant with people. There are a lot of exploits that can be made to prosper the family units, businesses and communities, when people are tapping intelligently into their covenants with one another.
You can do much more than what you are doing right now, if you truly understand how powerful your Covenant with God by the Blood of Jesus Christ is. You will be smarter and intelligent, if you’re able to tap into it before your Heavenly Father, to your own advantage in blessing your community.
King Solomon continued by saying that:
“Because of their skilled leadership the hearts of people are filled with the treasures of wisdom and the pleasures of spiritual wealth.”
Proverbs 24:4 TPT
Skilled leadership is always being exhibited by those who are committed to Covenants. The people under such leaders are wise also, because of their association with them in wisdom. They are learning how to become Covenant keepers, in submission under such leadership.
Treasures of wisdom and the pleasures of spiritual wealth is real prosperity, which only such a skillful leadership can bring into any business, organization or community. It gives you everything that you ever need in this life to be successful. Be wise! Tap into such treasures from God to you.
Covenant keepers will cause your Church and Ministries to grow. They will cause your business to expand. And if such a people are leading any community, there will be prosperity available with peace for the inhabitants.
By keeping Covenants you are not only able to do much more, but you are also able to face your adversaries, with much more power at your disposal. Your enemies becomes the enemies of the person you are in Covenant with (Proverbs 24:5).
Be careful not to be taking counseling from the people you are not in Covenant with. Your Covenant partners are your trusted counselors and advisers. And you need Covenant partners during COVID-19. They will cause you to be stronger than when this pandemic began.
That’s why Christians needs to be careful about going to people, who don’t have Covenant with God for counsel or advice. They care less about you, but themselves alone. Even though they may tell you that they are for you. They can betray you because they are not bond in covenant with you. Their words means nothing to them. They just want to exploit you for their own advantage. Their heart is not stable with you.
Everywhere you look today, you will discover that there is no place in the heart of many any longer, to keep faith with one another in their covenants together. Not to even talk about their Covenant with the Creator of the heavens and the earth.
Yes, even among those who profess to be Christians. Many people are getting more and more self centered, instead of being Covenant minded like God, the Father who created them to be just like Him.
Individualism has eroded the fear of God from the hearts of many. People tend to look and see about themselves more and more, instead of seeing God first of all. They think about what’s in it for them, but they don’t even consider God anymore. Yet they go about bragging about their faith in God to people everywhere. They brag about their faith in the God, whose voice they are constantly ignoring. Where then do many of these Christians put these words of Jesus today:
“ .. You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
Matthew 22:37-40 NKJV
And again He said in another place:
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
Matthew 6:33 NKJV
Evidently it’s not about us or about our plans or programs. Neither is anything about your personal plans. It’s all about Him and His Kingdom here on the earth. And it will always be about Him.
As the experience of the COVID-19 winds up, begin to count the lessons from it to you. Has God shaken you through the experience? Has your faith really grown stronger than before in Him? Do you love God today more than you do love yourself? Begin to count your many blessings and position yourself for greater things to come henceforth! Till next week – Selah!
