Jesus said in the Parable of the mustard seed:

“ .. The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field, which indeed is the least of all the seeds; but when it is grown it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:31-32‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

When Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea, He probably was so tiny and fragile as a baby. Even though He might had weighed a few pounds after birth, as He lied in the manger; yet He carried the greatest and biggest responsibility of the whole world. Jesus later grew up into manhood to become the Savior of the world (Matthew 1:21). The greatest of a baby should never be predetermined or judged by the look, size or weight of the baby.

Greatest is like a seed of the mustard seed. It may look insignificant at the time when it is sowed, but it carries so much potentials in it, that only your spiritual eyes of understanding can be able to see and tap into them.

Even though Jesus lied down innocently and quietly in the manger immediately after His birth, just as any other baby would had lied down in the crib today, but His greatness was hidden to His world, until the appointment time of the Father came for Him to be manifested. Babies don’t know the difference between the manger and the crib. All they want is a place to sleep and rest comfortably. And beyond any doubt Joseph and Mary must had made that manger, as comfortable as they could for Him at that time.

We can liken the aftermath results of Jesus’ resurrection to what He painted above concerning the mustard seed. It’s interesting to note that Jesus made a comparison here, between the herb and the mustard seeds. Herb seeds are bigger in sizes than the mustard seeds, but their growth in most cases are never as brawny in sizes as that of the mustard trees.

In other words Jesus was telling us here not to judge people based on their outward appearances. It’s important to take a look at the result of their faith in action. Judge them based on the results of their faith. What are they able to accomplish with their faith in God? Apparently it’s everything that is accomplished in life by faith, that will ever get into eternity with God.

The birth of Jesus was not like the birth of those who were destined, to inherit kingdoms from the palaces of this world. There was no town crier to announce His birth; but the Sower (God) sent His angels to be the “town criers” announcing His birth. They announced His birth not to those in the city center of Bethlehem, but to a group of poor village shepherds as they watched over their sheep. Of course it was for the poor that He came to announce, that they can now become rich in Him (Luke 4:18). The shepherds were of no nobility, yet they were the first to hear about the birth of the King of all kings.

The wise men who came visiting later from the East, were just following the curiosity of their own understanding, as they trailed after the star that they had seen in the sky announcing His birth. They knew that someone great had been given birth to, but they couldn’t lay their fingers on who it was. It was a mystery to them; but they were determined to unravel the mystery behind the star. They came to pay homage to God’s Own Star – Jesus. Jesus became the Greatest King of the Largest Kingdom on the earth – God’s Kingdom. A Kingdom that transcends beyond any landmass or geographical location.

Don’t ever judge a child’s future based on the place of his birth, or the circumstances of his upbringing. He may be of low birth or upbringing, but only God can raise him or her up to become what He has destined the child to become. The pathway of righteousness always leads to greatness. Don’t ever underestimate the days of the small beginnings in the lives of your children. Righteousness will cause them to obtain the favor of God and men, wherever they go in life just as it was with the Baby Jesus.

And just as the mustard seed grows out of its root, to become the haven for many birds and animals; Christ Jesus also rose from the dead to become the Strength and Strong Tower (Proverbs 18:10), for those who will trust in His Name. His Name became the Name above all other names (Philippians 2:9-10).

Behold the Seed of God who saved the world ‬‬

The miracle of the birth of Jesus shows to us, how powerful a seed or child can be in the hand of any righteous man or woman, in transforming his or her world. The birth of any child into the world is a miracle of God. Joseph and Mary had prepared themselves for His coming, by protecting their relationship in righteousness.

The power of a seed is always invisible to the natural man. That’s why the natural man will always make no sense of it, because it is a hidden mystery to him. But it’s never a mystery to the man who sows in righteousness. He sees his or her seed through the eyes of God – the Greatest Sower of all.

God showed us an example in sowing seeds, by sending His Own Seed (Word) into the womb of the Virgin Mary, who was engaged to be married to Joseph. The angel who visited her at the time had told her:

“ .. The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭1:35‬ ‭NKJV

It was the Holy Spirit who planted the Seed of God to save the world in the womb of Mary. In the same manner it’s the Holy Spirit Who will lead you in sowing seeds of righteousness for the great harvest. The Seed that was planted in Mary was called – “The Holy One”. Mary received the Seed of God (the Holy One), by releasing her faith into the will of God. She responded to the angel:

“ .. Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭1:38‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Her act of total and complete surrender to God’s will, opened up her womb to receive God’s Seed. This is how anyone else who will dare to believe in God for anything, can receive a word (seed) from Him today. You will have to open up your mouth and speak words back to God.

When we believe with the heart before God, the mouth must activate our faith by speaking words before God, so that whatsoever seed (word) that is received from Him, may be able to find it’s root into the heart for it to begin the process of fruit bearing. As Paul said:

“And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak,”

‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭4:13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Having faith for the harvest is not enough. Watch your confession of faith. Are you lining up those confessions with what you really believe with your heart?

That was exactly what Mary did before the angel. She received and confessed with her mouth, for the Seed of God to get conceived in her womb in the flesh. God can’t do anything in this world without you faith, because He is a Spirit (John 4:24). And faith is the only spiritual force that pleases God.

That was why Jesus had to come in the form of a Man to our world. Can you imagine what would had happened, if God had brought His Son into the world; by just transforming His Spirit into a human being like you and me? He definitely could had done that, without going through the process of looking for a womb to carry His Seed. It would had scared everyone on the earth to had seen a grown up Man, appearing in our world without any parental background. But He chose not to do it. He decided to do it in the very manner that all men had been coming to the world – through the womb of a woman.

The glorification of God’s Seed

Work to save the seed from destruction

The Bible says:

“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”

‭‭John‬ ‭1:14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Jesus was born with the glory of God inside of Him. But He had to grow up with that glory in Him, until the fullness of time came for Him to manifest it to the world around Him with miracles, signs and wonders. That’s what happens to every born again child of God also. You got born again of the incorruptible seed word of God:

“having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever,”

‭‭I Peter‬ ‭1:23‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Just like Mary received the incorruptible Word (Seed) which got her impregnated, you had received the word (seed) of God that got you saved. That incorruptible word impregnated you with God’s dream on the inside of your heart. But that word (seed) has to grow in your heart until the fullness of time, for the manifestation of the glory which God has purposed for it. And the way you allow it to grow in you is by focusing on that seed (word) continually, as you stay connected to Christ Jesus while praying in the spirit over it.

The seed (word) in you must be allowed to manifest the glory of God in the power of the Holy Spirit. You don’t need to be in a hurry about it. God is not in a hurry with you. With patience you must work out your salvation with the seed (word) in your life (Philippians 2:12).

Sow always in love

The Bible says again:

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

‭‭John‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

God’s Seed was sowed by Him in love and compassion. God gave Him or sowed Him to the world, not grudgingly. No, God willingly and joyfully gave or sowed His Son. In doing so He (God) sowed His Own Life (Zoe) with Him. God gave His Own Life in order to harvest many sons and daughters for Himself. And by so doing He was showing us how, we need to be sowing our own lives to the world around us also.

The power of the seeds that are being sowed in love is matchless. These are the seeds that the devil can’t touch, because there is no love in him. No forces of darkness can ever be able to discern the mystery behind your seed of love, because you’re following after the footsteps of God (your Father) in sowing.

The only way the devil can stop you from tapping into the mystery behind the Seed of God, is by preventing you from sowing seeds with love. He knows that if he can stop you from following the example of God – he wins. That’s all he can do to hinder you from getting, what God has in store for you with your seeds.

A seed will always work in the invisible to manifest the visible. If you can’t see into the spiritual realm what your seed can do for you, you can’t be confident about sowing. Your healing, deliverance and prosperity is in the seed.

John said:

“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”

‭‭III John‬ ‭1:2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

In other words the prosperity of the soul is connected with the prosperity of the spirit in a righteous man. When the soul and the spirit are prospering together, your physical body will fall in line with that prosperity. You will be walking in good health, so as to live a long and prosperous life on the earth. But it’s the seed that you are sowing continually, that will open the gates of heaven (Malachi 3:10-11) for your soul and body to be prospering, just as your spirit man is prospering also.

Many children of God are struggling today to prosper in the soul and the body, because they are not sowing seeds (the word) into their spirit, soul and body. Their born again spirit man is prospering of the Lord, but that prosperity is unattainable to their soul and body; because they are not allowing the seeds to penetrate into their soul and body, through prayer and meditation. It’s possible to be a regular church attendee, but if you’re not taking quality time out on your own for prayer and meditation, the seed can’t manifest prosperity in your soul and body.

Jesus grew by sowing words

Jesus grew up in this manner from childhood into adulthood. He cultivated the habit of the Father in Heaven by sowing (seeds) words always. This was what He told Mary as they came looking for Him in the Synagogue, while He was busy absorbing the (seeds) words of God:

“And He said to them, “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭2:49‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Jesus was after His Father’s business, and not the carpentry business of Joseph. He was not after the Ministry, but He saw seeds sowing (the word) as the “Father’s business”. It is apparently the written word that gives you the living word. Jesus was engaging Himself with the written word in the Synagogue, so as to get the living word into His life in fulfilling His Father’s business. That was how He grew up to fulfill God’s purpose for His life. What are you doing right now for the Lord – business or ministry? Seed sowing is the Father’s business, which will eventually manifest His prosperity in your life.

Doing His Father’s business suggests that, Jesus was taking in as much of the words (seeds) as possible, with the purpose of reaping the harvest. He was in it for profit. No profit, no business. No serious minded business man will ever go into business, without the purpose of making profits.

In every one of His Parables Jesus was always pointing, to the importance of making profits in God’s Kingdom. And as a child of God you need to get your mind set apart, from the business as usual mentality about the things of the Kingdom of God. You are in the Kingdom’s business for profit.

This works also for your financial harvest, after you have sowed a financial seed. You receive your harvest of the seed in the spirit, while it’s still a mystery to you. You receive it in the spirit as you sow the seed.

You don’t need to be looking around for any physical manifestation of the harvest, because it’s in the spirit (Ecclesiastise 11:4). Your harvest is in the spirit and not in the physical. God who is a Spirit guarantees your harvest. Keep your eyes on Him. Jesus grew up as God’s Seed by steadfastly looking up to the Father through the word (seed). That was how He learnt about where to get everything that He needed on the earth. That’s exactly what you need to be doing also, as you are sowing your seeds at all times. Don’t look up to men. Look up to God.

And even though you may be seeing the harvest in the spirit, but you can never envision the extent of the potentials in those seeds. You will need to sow the seed first, before you can begin to tap into the revelation of the mystery in the spirit, by watering that seed as you are praying in the spirit constantly over it.

Then as it begins to grow out of its root from the “soil” of your heart, you are able to begin to pray much more effectively for the harvest. Once the seeds gets rooted in your heart, you will then begin to see the physical manifestations coming from the “soil” of your heart gradually. This is the moment of the glorification of the seeds that you had been sowing. That’s when the mystery becomes revealed to you in the spirit. You will then begin to know where your harvest is, so that you can be able to take necessary steps to go get it. Jesus grew up in the Father’s business in this way. And the same pattern will work for you also.

The sowing of the seed is the beginning of the process. Just as God had to sow His Seed in the womb heart of Mary, you will need to sow a seed first towards your harvest. Your spiritual connection with the seed as the sower is a relationship that frightens the enemy at all times. The devil can’t stand before a faithful sower of seeds.

God the Father saw what His Seed (the baby Jesus) was able to accomplish before sowing Him into the womb of a young Jewish virgin girl (Mary). God saw eternity in His Seed, as He was lying in the manger at birth.

And as God’s Seed grew up from the root the Bible says:

“As Jesus grew, so did his wisdom and maturity. The favor of men increased upon his life, for he was loved greatly by God.”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭2:52‬ ‭TPT‬‬

That’s how God’s Seed that was lying in the manger grew up to fulfill the Father’s business. What about you with your seeds sowing activities to your world?

It’s not about how big your seeds are. It’s your faithfulness and commitment to the seeds sowing that pleases God. He will cause the rain of the Holy Spirit to fall upon it, and bring the harvest to you. Whatever you are taking in on a regular basis, good seeds or bad seeds will definitely affect your harvest. You will reap what you are sowing.

This is how your celebration of the Anointed One and His anointing can transform your world.
