Your spiritual posture says a lot about your future. Be sure that you’re standing right.

We are living in the time and season when every child of God, needs to be doing spiritual warfare, with the Blood sworn oath of Jesus Christ against the works of the devil. We were created in the image of God for the purpose of razing the works of darkness here on the earth. We are never created to be conforming or imitating the superficial pattern of this decaying world of evil.

And it’s only by the Blood of the Lamb that we are protected from the attacks of the evil one. The Blood of Jesus Christ guarantees our healing, perfect health, peace and prosperity. These are some of the benefits that we do have here on the earth in the Covenant with our Father in Heaven (Psalms 103:2-5).

As the scriptures says:

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.”

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭12:11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The Blood of Jesus had already made us overcomers. His blood had made us on the earth victorious as the people of God over the enemy.

It doesn’t really matter what Satan has already released against you. We do know that it’s with our testimony of Jesus, the Blood sworn oath and an unyielding heart of faith, that we’re able to sail through victoriously to the end.

It’s important for us to keep the pressure up on the devil. Don’t let your guard down! Christ Jesus has to be glorified all around you. You don’t give up! You don’t ever quit! The end of the Book says that we win all the time (Revelation 22:14).

The angels of God are rejoicing because of the unyielding faith of the over-comers here on the earth. Heaven is celebrating your overcoming victory over the enemy.

There are however certain parameters that has been set for each one of us by our Heavenly Father, in doing spiritual warfare against the devil here on the earth. It’s important not to miss the mark that Heaven has set for each one of us. We have to press on against the wiles of the devil. We have a Christian duty to keep on fighting the good fight of faith, until we get to where the Lord God expects us to be. If you are fighting the good fight of faith, you are already a winner. Jesus had already conquered the enemy for you.

The words of your Covenant oath in remembrance before the Lord God, is a very powerful weapon against the enemy. Keep on reminding the Him about it without ceasing. You must keep on doing this till the very end.

And it’s never over until God says it’s over. But in every good fight of faith, it’s one thing to have a spiritual weapon, but it’s another thing to be able to use it effectively, for the purpose which it had been given to us.

Commanding the hand of the Lord.

The Apostle Paul revealed to us a secret weapon of his spiritual warfare, which he had often used effectively against the enemy. A spiritual weapon that we can also use effectively against Satan, if we’ll remain steadfast as we’re walking by faith before our Heavenly Father, in accordance with our Covenant with Him. When used alongside the Blood sworn oath, it’s what will make the enemy to tremble and flee in fear of us.

Paul told the Corinthians:

“In everything we do, we show that we are true ministers of God. We patiently endure troubles and hardships and calamities of every kind. We have been beaten, been put in prison, faced angry mobs, worked to exhaustion, endured sleepless nights, and gone without food. We prove ourselves by our purity, our understanding, our patience, our kindness, by the Holy Spirit within us, and by our sincere love. We faithfully preach the truth. God’s power is working in us. We use the weapons of righteousness in the right hand for attack and the left hand for defense. We serve God whether people honor us or despise us, whether they slander us or praise us. We are honest, but they call us impostors. We are ignored, even though we are well known. We live close to death, but we are still alive. We have been beaten, but we have not been killed. Our hearts ache, but we always have joy. We are poor, but we give spiritual riches to others. We own nothing, and yet we have everything.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭6‬:‭4‬-‭10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

This description by Paul about what he went through is very tough to envisage. There is nothing new about what the devil is doing. He had always been doing the same things from all eternity. And he will never change. He is a loser. He knows that his time is almost over. He knows that you’re the winner and the overcomer in this spiritual warfare.

From the several things mentioned in the above scripture texts by Paul, I would like to pinpoint mainly on verse seven, where he talked about how he had used righteousness to command the hand of the Lord. He had used righteousness here as a weapon against the devil.

We need to note that righteousness on the right hand here is meant to be used, as a weapon of faith to attack into the territories of the enemy. Whenever our faith is activated, we’re in the offensive mode against him. This is when Christ’s righteousness can be used as a weapon of spiritual warfare, in doing exploits to advance God’s Kingdom on the earth.

And it’s by faith that we demolish every stronghold of the enemy, while rendering him submissive to the authority in the name of Jesus.

Since righteousness is the product of our corresponding action of faith, it is therefore one of the most powerful weapons in the spiritual warfare, to bring God’s justice upon the works of the devil.

Without faith no one can ever be able to please God. It’s possible to make all kinds of sacrifices of faith, because you want to please God; but if your righteousness is not of Christ Jesus, you will be unable to use it effectively in the spiritual warfare against the devil.

In fact, many have failed because they are not standing in Christ’s righteousness while doing spiritual warfare against the evil one. They are standing in their own righteousness.

The key to this is in our Covenant walk with God. You cannot be walking contrary to your Covenant oath before God, and still expect the blood of Jesus to work for you, in commanding the hand of the Lord. You can’t afford to be sloppy with your faith in the Covenant before God.

Righteousness on the left hand is meant for defending and protecting our faith, whenever the enemy uses his fear tactic to attack us.

The enemy uses fear as his weapon against your faith in the Covenant promises of God (1 John 4:17-19). As long as you’re walking in the love of God towards all people, you’ll always be like Jesus to the devil. He sees Jesus in you, and you are with no fear.

The enemy uses fear as a spiritual weapon against your breastplate of righteousness (Ephesians 6:14), so as to get at your faith with the aim of making it contaminated. But if you have your shield of faith always lifted up against him by exercising it (Ephesians 6:16), you will effectively quench every fiery dart of fear that he throws at you.

It’s important to know and understand how Covenants works, so as to be able to stand strongly on the promises of God. Otherwise, you won’t be able to use righteousness as a weapon effectively against the devil.

One important thing to note here is that righteousness as a weapon of spiritual warfare, can be used to command the hand of the Lord. It can be used effectively against any defying situation, that the enemy brings up against you. The enemy’s goal is to confuse and manipulate you, so as to control you, your family, ministry and your Church. But you can deal a decisive blow at him with this spiritual weapon.

The scriptures say:

“Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, But the Lord weighs the hearts. To do righteousness and justice Is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭21‬:‭2‬-‭3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Everyone may claim to have faith in God to do anything for Him, but it’s the Lord who tests the heart of every Christian, to see and expose the motivation behind every corresponding action of our faith. No one is righteous except he is living by faith in the finished works of Christ Jesus before God (Romans 5:1-2).

Let God’s peace guide your heart.

The way we can know if we’re walking righteously before God was once described by the Prophet Isaiah in this way:

“You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You”.

Isaiah 26:3 NKJV

Paul also said:

“Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God”.

Romans 5:1-2 NKJV

God’s peace (Shalom) will protect and garrison over your heart, when righteousness is bearing fruit in your life. You will know that everything is okay. You will know exactly what to do and declare in spiritual warfare.

That’s when you’ll be well positioned to be commanding the hand of the Lord, with the words that the Holy Spirit puts on your tongue. As you are doing this, you are inviting divine intervention into a situation that is defying, your authority as a Covenant child of God. It’s the Lord who is leading and guiding you in this way into the victory that is ahead of you.

You will thereafter be able to “rejoice in the hope of the glory of God”. The glory that comes from the power in the hand of the Lord God, as you’re decreeing and commanding with your authority in the Name of Jesus.

Oftentimes the devil will try to defy your authority, because he’s aware of the danger that, the anointing over your life poses to him and his works. He is stubborn and full of all types of tricks. But as you keep on commanding the hand of the Lord, Heaven will eventually be moved to respond to your unyielding faith.

We already do know that Jesus had defeated the devil. He is just trying to get some attention for himself by afflicting you as a righteous child of God. The Holy Spirit had already exposed his maneuverings to us, even before the Son of Man came down to the earth for our Salvation.

As a child of God, you are reigning now on the earth, with the hand of the Lord upon you. That’s why the devil can’t touch you or anything that belongs to you. You are always protected by the Blood of Jesus. Whenever he sees you, he sees Jesus. And that terrifies him!

The protection in the blood of Jesus is where your divine providence is. You are protected from every attack of the enemy, as long as you will never cease to keep God in remembrance of His Covenant promises for your life.

The devil will try to push you to sin against God, by exploiting his fear tactic against you. That’s his way of ensuring that you fail. This is when Christ’s righteousness on your left hand becomes useful and effective against the devil.

You’ll have to get smarter by recognizing immediately what this will do to you. Your spiritual antenna has to be up always and on alert against the works of the devil. Don’t fall into his temptation to sin against God. Resist him and fight him back with your Blood sworn oath. He will flee away in terror of who you are.

Use righteousness purposely and strategically.

Develop your skills by using your Blood sworn oath on target.

As mentioned above, there are two purposes of the weapon of righteousness. It’s meant firstly for attacking the enemy. And secondly for defending yourself against the attacks of the enemy. You can use one weapon (on the right hand), to command God’s blessing. And you can use the second one (on the left hand), to rebuke the devil when he uses fear to attack your faith.

God’s power is in His word. And the Bible says of Jesus, who gave you the authority to command the Lord’s hand:

“Who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,”‭‭

Hebrews‬ ‭1:3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The New Living Translation says it like this:

“The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven.”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭1:3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Now we do know that the word of His power is a reference to the mighty power of His command, which is released from His hand when you use your Blood sworn oath. Your right standing before God is very important for this release.

Your weapon of righteousness on the right-hand commands and decrees the blessing of the Lord, whenever the devil tries to afflict you. Your ability to use faith filled words in commanding the right hand of the Lord, brings you healing and deliverance from this attack of the devil. You do exploits into the territory of the enemy with righteousness on your right hand.

The left hand is for your defense against the enemy. It’s what you use to bring God’s judgement on the enemy.

You must therefore develop spiritual skills in using both the right and the left hand of righteousness effectively. The best way to do this is by praying more in the Spirit, so as to build up your most holy faith (Jude 1:20-21).

Remember always that if you’re not judging the devil and his works, who is going to do it? Jesus had given you the authority in His Name to do it. Start using it now. You win always! So, stand strong and tall in your victory!

“For you shall expand to the right and to the left,
And your descendants will inherit the nations,
And make the desolate cities inhabited”.

Isaiah 54:3 NKJV
